Loyal Sword to the Throne

It tempts something in me that I refuse to give a name.

He is becoming bolder in his advances, he simply wishes to know my name. Become friends. Companions. It may be my own delusions of romance, but he says it in such a way that makes me think he wishes for much more than simple companionship. I fear I may be reading into things too much.

I know I cannot allow this to happen, but part of me yearns for that connection.

oh goodness. I learn about this because I am now stationed near the prince's quarters as extra protection. I don't mean to be.. strange. But I am hoping I can catch at least one glimpse of him. Make sure he's okay. Perhaps even check if he needs assistance with any injuries.

After our conversation he walked me back to the castle's barracks and wished me a good evening and swore he would make things better for me and my brothers in arms. He smiled so sweetly. He sounded so kind I almost forgot there is an entire war being waged on us. Oh goodness. I fear I may faint.
