Those Schmo guys have posted a video to support their story.

The "scoop" is just too problematic to carry any authenticity with it and it actually doesn't give us anything new to convince us this is real.

They come off really ignorant when they said we can't trust J.J. Abram's words on respecting but not adhering to the Expanded Universe. Abrams did say he was not directing Episode VII. That's because he wasn't directing the film when asked and he didn't speak about it until he turned it down. Anyone that has done a moment of research knows that that Kathleen Kennedy set up a second meeting with him and pitched him with "please do Star Wars." This is all really well documented at this point. These guys do not appear to know very much about the topic they think they're scooping.

Schmoes Know Exclusive: Star Wars Casting News!

Hello Schmoeville! So hey, you guys hear they’re making a new Star Wars movie? I’m serious, they totally are. Now I realize the percentage of Schmoeville residents who are interested in Star Wars is small, but here’s a little bit of news for the few of you who are interested. There are potential Episode VII spoilers ahead. Man, that felt good to say. A reliable source (who wishes to remain anonymous) has seen a copy of the alleged casting breakdown that has been (or is about to be) sent out from JJ Abrams. That’s right, this supposedly comes straight from the man himself!

Just putting a picture here to make you wait longer and build the suspense. I’m a jerk. Now, we all know how this works. This could all be bulls***. Or it could be true today but they could change their minds tomorrow. So take all of this with a grain of salt. But, hypothetically, if this is all legit then…well it’s pretty huge. What my source saw includes a basic storyline overview AND gives away two of the main characters to be featured in the film. And, probably, a third supporting character as well. And they were kind enough to cut and paste what they saw and send it my way. Might that be something you’re interested in? Well then, read on!

HA! Ok, I’ll stop now. Sorry. Star Wars: Episode VII Storyline: Two 17 year old twins, a girl and a boy, are trained by their uncle Luke to be the greatest Jedi’s in the galaxy. Problems arise when the male twin turns to the dark side. Jaina Solo – Female, 17 years old, lead. – Jacen’s twin sister, one of the greatest Jedi’s in the galaxy, trained by her uncle Luke Skywalker Jacen Solo – Male, 17 years old, lead – Jaina’s twin brother, one of the greatest Jedi’s in the world. A loner who is constantly struggling with the idea of what’s right and what’s wrong. Starts to turn to the dark side. Full of conviction that what he is doing is the “right thing”. Will eventually become Darth Caedus. So…holy s***, right? So much news here! Assuming, of course, that this is all valid (which it certainly seems to be), then we now know that Episode VII (and, I’d assume, the rest of the trilogy) will tell the story of Han and Leia’s twins Jacen and Jaina with the focus being on Jacen’s eventual turn to the dark side. We’ve been wondering if these films were going to borrow from the Expanded Universe and it appears we have our answer: YES! But wait, there’s more! The storyline breakdown states that the twins are trained by Luke Skywalker. Which means they’ll probably show that training in the movie. Which means that we probably just confirmed for certain that Mark Hamill will be in Episode VII! This is huge news, especially for those of us who drafted him first in the Schmoes Know Star Wars Draft. Just sayin…

Best. First round pick. Ever. One more thing of note: The twins are mentioned, but not their younger brother, Anakin. That’s weird, because…you know…he’s the third Solo kid and kinda has (well…had) a pretty big role in the Expanded Universe. So…is he not in it? The lack of a casting breakdown is one thing, but he’s not even mentioned in the storyline overview. Hmmm… There you have it, Schmoeville. We now (probably, maybe, hopefully) have an idea what the story of Episode VII will be. All you Expanded Universe fans who have been anxiously awaiting this news can breathe a cautious sigh of relief. Jacen Solo, Jaina Solo, and Luke Skywalker WILL BE in Star: Wars Episode VII!!! I can’t believe I just typed that.

Produced By Conference: JJ Abrams Says ‘Star Wars’ Starts Production In Early 2014

“I think that the thing is so big and so massive to so many people that the key to moving forward is honoring but not revering what went before,” said JJ Abrams today about the challenges of directing the new Star Wars movie. Abrams also revealed that production on Star Wars Episode VII is set to start right at the beginning of 2014. “Most likely we are going to be moving to London at the end of the year for the Star Wars movie,” said the Star Trek Into Darkness director Saturday at the Produced By conference on the Fox lot. Abrams added that the overseas shoot “drives me insane” as he would have liked to film the movie in LA. He also noted that the plan to shoot Star Wars Episode VII for Disney in the UK was set before he was brought on board. The director joked that getting the offer to helm the new Star Wars was the only thing that would have caused him to postpone a long set family vacation. Abrams made the comments Saturday in conversation with Django Unchained producer Reginald Hudlin at the 5th annual PGA event. Last month, Disney and Lucasfilm announced that the Abrams-directed and Michael Arndt-scripted movie will be shooting in the UK. The latest incarnation of the Star Wars franchise is expected to come out in 2015 with two more films about the Force to follow over the next few years.

Not that the director was saying much more about his upcoming Star Wars gig. “No comment,” replied Abrams with a smile on his face to a question from Hudlin if the new Star Wars movies would be based partially on the dozens of novels that have come out over the years bridging various unexplored aspects of the films’ characters. Abrams did discuss his feelings about the future of George Lucas, the creator of the Star Wars saga, after he sold Lucasfilms to Disney last year. “George Lucas has spoken for years about wanting to make those smaller, more experimental films and I hope he does because I’d really like to see them,” he said.

The discussion today kicked off with a sizzle reel of Abrams’ work that included clips from Lost, Alias, Fringe, Person of Interest, Super 8 and the Mission Impossible and Star Trek films. The duo also discussed how thanks to strong support from Tom Cruise, Abrams was given the OK by Paramount to make his feature directorial debut with M.I. 3, film vs. digital, how he got into the business, the strategy or rather lack there of that his Bad Robot company has and the strong women characters in his work among other topics. “Women are awesome,” Abrams said to cheers from the crowd before touching on the influence of his mother and other strong women in his life. Additionally Abrams, who spent part of Friday at a DNC fundraiser with President Obama, Bob Iger and other Hollywood heavyweights at Peter Chernin’s house, discussed his political affiliations, emphasizing his belief in “giving back.”

J.J. Abrams: 'Star Wars Episode VII' will start shooting in early 2014

Director was typically evasive about plot questions at a PGA event

"Star Wars: Episode VII" is really happening, and director J.J. Abrams has revealed when fans can start scouring the Internet for on-set photos. During the PGA-sponsored "Produced By" conference at the 20th Century Fox lot, Abrams said that production on the highly-anticipated continuation of the long-running sci-fi franchise is set to begin in January of 2014. "Most likely we are going to be moving to London at the end of the year for the 'Star Wars' movie," he said, according to Deadline.

Abrams noted that he would have preferred to shoot "Episode VII" closer to home in LA., but Disney had planned a U.K. shoot even before he signed on to direct.  Michael Arndt ("Toy Story 3") is writing the film, which is expected to be in theaters summer of 2015. "Django Unchained" producer Reginald Hudlin moderated the Q&A and tried to get the typically tight-lipped Abrams to reveal more about "Episode VII."  "I think that the thing is so big and so massive to so many people that the key to moving forward is honoring but not revering what went before," Abrams explained. As for "Star Wars" creator George Lucas, who is serving only as a consultant on the upcoming films, Abrams hopes he continues making other films.  "Lucas for years has spoken for years about wanting to make those smaller, more experimental films and I hope he does because I’d really like to see them," Abrams stated. POP diva Florence Welch is being lined up for a leading role in the new Star Wars movie trilogy.

But the Florence and the Machine singer, 26, won’t be moving far, far away from her South London roots — after The Sun revealed how the films will be shot in Britain.

Last night a Star Wars insider said: “We think Florence has the exact style we are looking for.

“She has done some acting but it was her singing on stage that initially caught the eye.

“Almost every actress in Hollywood wants a role in the new movies but we are keen to cast people who are unexpected.

“Florence is being considered for a major part that would turn her into an A-list actress overnight.”

Disney bought the Star Wars franchise from creator George Lucas’s film company for £2.6 billion last year.

Shooting of Episode VII — directed by JJ Abrams — is due to start early next year with release planned for 2015.

Original cast members Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill are all expected to return.

Michael Jackson’s kids, Prince, 16, and Paris, 15, are pushing for auditions.

Man makes shameless bid to be in Star Wars Episode VII.

"I'd love to do Star Wars. That would just be epic doing something like that. And it's not beyond the realm of possibility.

"I have a terrific relationship with JJ Abrams and [Abrams' production company] Bad Robot, I really do. So it's not beyond the realm of possibility. It's a while away yet."

The quarry in England could make sense to use for smaller pickups and work that needs to be done while they're filming on their stages and cannot go back to Iceland, Scotland, or where ever they may go. But that's just speculation like all of this, really.
