Haikyuu Shapeshifter AU where Daichi is weirdly cagey about what his animal is and *never* shifts for any reason, even when everyone is else playing around as animals, and the first years are getting weird about it because its obvious that all the other third years know, but he just refuses to talk about it or show them and they start taking bets on what it is and eventually come to the mutual conclusion that it must be something ""embarassing"" (a concept unique to adolescence when predators and cool animals are considered popular) but nobody ever confirms it for them.

And then one day a handful of the team is fighting about which of them is the apex predator of the team/who's at the top of the foodchain/whose animal is the strongest, and very casual Daichi goes "I think based on numbers I am?" and Suga's like "Yeah but working you in makes the conversation difficult" and the first years are like ?!??!?!?!!?? HHMMMMM????

And the pressure eventually gets to him because all the first years are going crazy now and he finally, finally breaks and admits that the reason he doesnt shift on land/the reason he can't is because his animal form is a fucking Orca.

And almost immediately people don't believe him because HUHH???? WHALE????? And Tsukki is like "but that doesnt make SENSE your name is *Sawamura Daichi* why the fuck would a family of oceanic animals name their son Earth McEarth???"

And Daichi is just like "Im adopted."

my favorite Jon and Damian "headcanon" is Jon prefers shonen and action-centric anime to Damian's shojo, so whenever he watches anything with Damian, it's always just Damian complaining about "yes, the swordplay is fine, however the interpersonal relationship between the main character and his supposed "love interest" is bland and quite frankly, immersion breaking. They have never spoken to one another in a meaningful way, and yet you want me to believe they're end game? Ridiculous. He has better chemistry with his friend!" and then Jon rolls his eyes and says he doesn’t have to watch it if he hates it so much. And Damian grumbles and huffs and crosses his arms, but he stays. And they just do that exact song and dance every time.

The rest of the Monster Generation has to be at least a little envious of MSBY and their easy camaraderie. No one understands it. It's not like they do anything special or different, but there's just this air of comfort between the four of them. They are very much each others' home away from home. Also they love doing their signature pose and they have the best chant and everyone else knows they can't top that.
