Its Spring! And I am starting to push myself to get outside and play in the yard. Clearing some small areas of a couple of gardens and planting some new plants in some pots. I will probably keep most of my gardening this year to pots. I need to start slow and build up my energy. And I am going to be a grandmother! Yay!!!! As I am getting more serious about the upcoming time when my art shall become my work, I have also come to realize my site needed to be redesigned to something more modern, more streamlined. Last night while I was watching TV, I did some sketching. Found a photo of one of our dear little red squirrels and it became my subject. Today, I did a quick layout for a painting I have running around in my mind. I’ll try and keep posting on these things so it follows the progress of it. New Gouache Painting- Having fun with this black paper. I did the roses on this first and was considering what kind of creatures to add. A friend suggested I look at moths instead of butterflies, in particular the Luna moth. So, it got added and then the beetle and of course, a spider.
