Zane 'Sentry' Killon

August sat himself down at the bar and turned to look over at the wolf beside him “Sentry…” He chuckled “How long has it been, man?” He wondered, having not seen the wolf for a good couple of years since he’d gone “Next beer is on me?” He offered, gesturing to the barmaid to bring them two beers. “I’ve heard that things have been a little crazy as of late”

Zane tilted his head down in greeting, it had been a good while since he’d seen the other hanging around the Underbank. “Lightening.” He greeted, “Has to be a few years now.” He said, scratching at his jaw as he thought back to the last time he’d seen the other. “Thanks.” He sat himself down on the nearest barstool, resting his elbows onto the bar itself. “They have been, yeah, it’s been relatively nice the last couple months. What’ve you been up to?”

He felt like a kid again, running around and holding his best friends hand. He had never had someone that he intended to spend the rest of his life with, he never really celebrated the holiday this way. “That’s alright, I have plans to spoil you tomorrow.” He hummed, following him through the woods. 

Ollie scarfed down the food and was quick to clean up, grabbing a jacket and running out to meet Zane where he was waiting. He met him with a cheek kiss before his hand slipped into the others with a small squeeze. “Lead the way babe.” With a hum, he swung their hands a little. “I’m excited to see what you had planned for today.” 

Oliver was loving the domestic life more than he ever thought he would. Effy would probably make fun of him for it at one point or another. But for now he was happily settled in with the day to day life that came along with his mates home. Ollie turned, grabbing the toast from the toaster before looking at him when he spoke and feeling his heart melt. “You planned something?” He hummed, “How could I say no to that?” 

“Yes.”

Powder: What’s your opinion on ‘true love’?

“I think it obviously exists. I also think you can have more than one.”

Punch: Do you believe in soulmates?

“Yes.”

Ollie rolled his eyes, leaning into the kiss. “I’m always mushy around you.” He hummed, shrugging and swaying their hands. “You’re mine, I’m so glad you’re mine.” He hummed. 

Did he just… Ollie was hearing things, pausing now and collecting himself. There was one of two options to be had here. The first being to tackle Zane, naturally, and just let things escalate from there. The second being to figure out how to say it back, without making a big deal of it. They’ve known each other for so long, I love you shouldn’t be a big deal. But he turned now, a soft, fond smile gracing his features. “I love you too.” He hummed, pecking his cheek. 

Ollie smiled a little more, not that he thought that it was possible, squeezing his hand and looking out at the water. This was the happiest he’s been in a while, and he wouldn’t want it any other way. “You’re stuck with me for a while then, Zane. Just you wait, once I get all old and chubby? You’re stuck.” He grinned. 

“Both are always an option if you’re feeling up for it” she chuckled and then stepped through to the back yard, where a ring was always set up, the woman taking off her jacket and throwing it to the side “Come on then, lets see what you remember” she taunted playfully, flexing her arms and getting in a more defensive stance.

“I’m a big girl. I can take care of myself.” Mickey assured him. She was used to the distaste her brothers showed in regards to some of her actions. When it was just wolves, it had never bothered them (good, considering she had partly learned it from then prior to them settling down) but once they realised she’d dabbled with vampires – well her attitude to sex and love had become taboo with them. She let his attitude roll off, instead of being bothered.

When she grew closer to him, she tipped her head and studied him for a moment. “You look like you could use some stress relief, you know that?”

“Uh-huh.” He didn’t exactly believe her, the younger ones were always trying to see how much they could withstand, always playing with fire every time they chose to leave. He wouldn’t stop them, figuring they could figure out how shitty the world was on their own. It’s not like he could really control every single wolf within the Underbank, he didn’t want that kind of power, he just hoped they were being smart when they left. “I know.” He admitted, “Kind of why I’m out here to begin with.”

it was likely that most days, if not all, she smelled of the queen. sol spent so much time wrapped up in the queen’s touch or sheets or…whatever. so she knew that others could smell who she belonged to, if they didn’t recognize the collar first. which is what usually gave her mistress away.  ❝ didn’t mean to intrude, ❞ she repeated as she crossed her arms beneath her bust. ❝ the garden is too…close to captivity. this is still captivity, but i feel freer walking in the city, ❞ she admitted. ❝ not often. the other handmaids must be entertaining her or i would’ve been found by guards already. ❞ as much as she didn’t want the others to have to deal with the queen, she was enjoying her small break.

Ollie smiled, pressing closer to the other now. “And you’re mine.” He hummed, leaning over and pecking his cheek now. “I missed seeing this side of you, soft and mushy. Happy.” The other hummed, “I missed my best friend.”

He wasn’t entirely sure how he felt about being described as mushy, but he knew that he was only like this when he was with Oliver. It was easy to let his guard down around him, to be the person he might have always been, he felt safe to do so with him. “You’re the only one that gets to see it. He said, “I don’t plan on going anywhere any time soon.”

“What? –No..” She didn’t get why he was being so mean. She just wanted to train herself enough to keep control, keep composed- no matter the situation. “I..I’ve never been here. I’m sorry, I was just…” Ava swallowed, her hand coming up to the collar around her neck, fiddling with it nervously, “I was just..trying to learn scents. Of everything..” She took a little step back. “I’m sorry.”

He didn’t care of her excuses, the words that fell out of her mouth only made him more annoyed. He didn’t like her using them as some sort of test, they’ve been used enough by vampires. The collar around her neck only proved more to him that she as new went meant she was dangerous to his people the closer she got. “Go back to where you came from before I decide to rip your head off and deliver it to the King.” He growled, she wasn’t welcomed here, for as long as he was alive.

Ollies smile grew ten fold. The word Mate, or any variation of it for that matter, but mate specifically made his heart flutter. Sure, they had both gone through a lot to get to where they’re at now, but they have eachother. Ollie got to spend the rest of his time with his absolute best friend. A wolf that he adored and admired with his entire being. “That’s…debatable.” Pax hummed, “I’d argue that my guy? Much more attractive. But I’ll take the compliment.”

Zane shook his head, he could probably argue about this for forever if he had the energy for it. He was stubborn enough, at any rate. “Mm, good, you should.” he’d step back a bit looking out towards the lake, the place was always incredibly calming, always had been. “Because it’s all true, anyone can see that, but I’m the lucky one that gets to have you.” He’d say with a sharp feeling of possessiveness shooting through his body. He hadn’t felt that in a long while, he might have missed it.

Azalea let out a little breath when Zane said he wouldn’t say anything, grinning at the older wolf. Though things had slowly started to ease up around the Codona household, Mama definitely wouldn’t be very happy to hear that she was back to sneaking out, especially now that she was pregnant. “Nowhere in particular, really,” she said as she wandered closer to him, hands tucked into the pockets of her coat. “I couldn’t sleep, figured getting some air would be better than tossing and turning all night,” she explained with a little shrug. Honestly she’d been feeling pretty antsy lately, and she was almost positive it had to do with the impending motherhood. Having Magnus around definitely helped calm her, so the nights she spent without him were hard. “What about you? What’re you doing out here all by your lonesome?”

That seemed to be going around lately, the not being able sleep, though perhaps hers was a bit different than his own. He didn’t mind the company if she planned on staying awhile, actually he’d hope she would as he’d rather her stay close than get too close to the city. “Mm.” He hummed, thinking for a moment before speaking. “Couldn’t sleep either. Felt restless so decided to take a walk, it usually helps.” Usually, sometimes his restlessness couldn’t be so easily shaken off by walking around. Thankfully for him this night wasn’t one of those nights, but ever since Oliver came back he was having few of those nights. He turned back to her as he climbed out of his own head for a minute, “How’re things? Don’t remember the last time we’ve actually talked.” He spoke with a soft chuckle to his tone, his fault for not getting out much.
