don’t close yourself off from potentially wonderful things because you fear the possibility of something bad

I’m so happy to be born in the time period that I was born in.

We have to step back from ourselves and focus on God again.

Rlly don't get Catholicism bc the church is all don't do this don't do that hate this person hate that person but then I look at the bible and Jesus is like do what u want as long as u love everyone like?? Idk who tf the catholic church's bible interpreter is but I'm gna go w Jesus' thing

I’m sorry if the people at your church made you feel as if you had to hate people; that’s screwed up, and that shouldn’t have ever been the case. But Jesus never said do what you want as long as you loved everyone. Jesus tells us to do good and to avoid evil; He forgives sinners, but tells them to sin no more. He tells them it would be better to cut off their own hands or pluck out their own eyes than to continue to live in sin. There’s so much good in the world, so much to enjoy and experience, and God wants us to experience that. He made it for us, after all. But Christ doesn’t want us doing simply whatever. People don’t get crucified for saying “Do whatever you want, just be nice.”
