right, so she definitely heard that wrong. it’s a little disappointing; personally, she would be an avid customer of vinyslut, but this is probably much better for business purposes. keep ‘slut’ out of your employees’ mouths at all costs. though ‘lust’ isn’t much better, all things considered. the corners of her mouth lift at the repeated insistence, though she stops shy of chuckling herself. “how many times are you going to repeat ‘lust’ before things get awkward?” boyeon asks pointedly. “like, i’m spitballing here, but it might give customers the wrong idea of what kinda business this is.” the joke comes out uneasily after what a fucking depressing day it’s been. “lusty business.” yeah, that is horrible. also, she never wants to use the word ‘lusty’ again for as long as she lives.

that aside, she follows hosung to the new releases section, scanning over the different bands with a critical eye. they would’ve been her competition, she thinks ruefully. or, hopefully would’ve been. she never wavered in her belief that polaris could make it big. boyeon just didn’t expect it would be without her. god, this is really a crapsack day, isn’t it? maybe she made a mistake. she should’ve cut her losses and gone straight home. a sigh escapes her as hosung points out some bands she might be interested in, and his mention of her former group sends a stab of white-hot pain and anger through her. when she is going to get over this? wordlessly, she reaches out to touch polaris’ ep and bites the inside of her cheek. fuck you, she thinks viciously. but also—

“how many copies of polaris’ ep do you have in stock?” she asks, turning to hosung. “and how much would it cost to like, buy all of them?” she should take them home and smash them one by one. maybe that way, she’ll get some kind of cathartic release.

      hosung offered a sheepish grin once she pointed out how many times he had said the word ‘lust’, head tilting back as a genuine laugh spilled from his mouth at the joke said as fingers briskly swept through his hair. scratching the back of his neck, he went on to apologize for his insistence on saying the word lust and if it made the other uncomfortable. he then added on to her statement, playfully going along with her,  “yeah.. that’s secretly everyone who works here side hustle. required by the boss, don’t tell anyone else, yeah? i’m trusting you, random stranger who thinks i say lust too much,” 

      the change in atmosphere does not go unnoticed by the employee and for a moment he thinks he may have accidentally mentioned a band the girl really holds grudge against for whatever reasons, a ton had popped into mind, some more plausible than others. he glanced between the records and boyeon, eyes finally pausing on the girl as he observed her worn out state then her appearance, the twinge of familiarity bothering him. catching himself staring blatantly, he looked away and pointed in another direction, “uh.. i’m not too sure. i can go check, they’re all over in that section plus the ones we probably have in the back... though i do think it’ll be pretty pricey,” he suggested with a warm smile before questioning her motives behind this. “big fan? i don’t really listen to them anymore so i haven’t listened to their recent music,”

nabi bit her lip, looking back and forth between her living room, where she’s been practicing her vocals for gt’s new song, and jaeseop, standing outside her door. gt debuted less that a year ago, she was extremely hesitant to go out in public alone with jaeseop. if a scandal came out now, their failure would be nabi’s fault completely. but the look on jaeseop’s face made her think twice. her unnies were always talking about how she needed to loosen up. and jaeseop was a good friend, he wouldn’t let her get in trouble, right? “okay, okay. fine. but come in before someone sees you.” she looked down at her jean shorts and tank top, crossing her arms self consciously. “and i need to change.”

Hot? Cold? How could she define his demeanor? Sejun was sizzling and both a maestro of mischief intrinsically. Her mind continues to wander in its baited state. She didn’t quite know where to rest her eyes. Chaerin became a victim to her own shortcomings as she looks over the curve of his pouty lip. Immediately kiss meant the exchange of one’s mouth with another. Consuming both texture and warmth. A smile got away from her with his distance closing in. His scent purely intoxicating. Again she imagines herself wrapped up within his particular scent. A man’s smell.

Then came the word of disdain, cute, one that seemed to always cost the totality of her desires. [No! Not cute…] Realization washes over her within moments. She was once again getting ahead of not only herself but her counterpart. Her little mouth twists at the finger tapping his cheek. [Bah humbug!] “Why you!” A burst of laughter escapes before she could get another word out. Shame washes over Chaerin with a hand shielding her face. “Andwae. You tricked me good! Well, jokes on you bub I only kiss the cheeks of boys and babies. Chur a man.”

       with the amusement gained from the reaction given, it was inevitable that a short snicker escaped as his eyes remaining focused and locked onto chaerin’s; not once did his gaze leave hers during that moment. sejun found the girl’s panicked state adorable, head tilting as he looked down at her, making sure to run his tongue along roseate lips in order to make them seem as enticing as possible. “all this time staring at me my lips could be turned into something more... productive,” the man murmured lowly, the smirk returning to accompany the thought.

❝ nah, i just wanted some time away to appreciate your presence, can’t ya’ tell? i came running back for ya sweetheart. ❞ the gumiho purrs out, sipping on his fruit punch as he slyly smiles at the female. it wasn’t exactly a lie, he was a bit attached to sehyeon,  ❝ what’s my favorite gal up to today? ❞
