Look, I only have one chapter of this story out right now, but I’m pretty excited about it.
This all started because I have been bombarded by booktok recommendations for a while now, and every time I pick up some spicy romantasy (often white and heterosexual), I am deeply disappointed by the lack of character depth—amongst other things. I’m also always irritated by the lack of anything other than ROMANCE in the romanTASY books, and to be honest, the romances are poorly written. They’re underdeveloped, often creepy, and oriented on the couples’ sex life. I’m tired of it, so I’m going to try to write my own LGBTQ+ romantasy with at least medium fucking depth to the characters, romance, and world.
If you guys want to engage with this, that’d be awesome. If it’s not your cup of tea, no pressure. I’m trying to find an audience for this, and I hope it lands in the right spaces.
