I just realized this blog's name is 'mostly imagines,' but spelled backwards. I love it.

Hi hi hii morgan!! I think I was blocked on ur main account cuz i wasn't reblogging stuff but I have a separate account specifically for that is that still cool to do or is it different
i havenāt blocked anyone for not reblogging in a while so i think i blocked you for a different reason.
Hello madame terrain, I have been thinking about boxer!jason for some time now and I'm wondering if you have any thoughts about him? if not that's totally okay too āŗļø love all your writing!!!
lol hi, madame terrain is adorable š also boxer jason is big brained!!! let's do it ;)
boxer!jason todd x gn!reader. reader is an apprentice to a ringside doctor (leslie thompkins). tw creepy OMC intimidates reader, jason protects/defends r, fluff, my attempt at boxing stuff.
****
Leslie said she'd be back in an hour.
You're currently at the thirty minute mark, hoping for a natural disaster, an angel, anything, because...
"Doc gives me stuff for my pain all the time," Keith says for the third time. "It's real simple."
Keith Dixon is one of the gym's regular fighters. You haven't seen enough matches to judge his fighting, but you can confidently say that his people skills are in the toilet.
He'd barged into the office ten minutes ago and had refused to leave even when you said Leslie was out.
You need to make a break for it.
I love this fic so fucking much
Youāre so amazing at setting the scene, getting the mood across perfectly with only a sentence or two. You do just as much heavy lifting with the way you imply information. Letting the readers put the pieces together without overselling the point.
The entire thing is so easy to picture and feels so real, especially Keith. Heās not over the top creepy but still has a distinctly threatening aura that you can feel through the screen. Which brings me to Jason. The way you wrote him in the standoffish protector role is absolutely addicting. Iāve read this probably 20 times.
I like how you never explicitly describe jason as a fighter (keeping in line with readers limited knowledge of him here) but instead put in the work towards Keithās reaction and getting across that Jason must be a really good fighter.
Also, as somebody that gets real uncomfortable around men, i LOVE what you did after Keith left. Jason being self-aware and attuned to womenās anxieties is so fucking hot, i canāt explain it.
āJason doesn't move from his spot as he asks.ā
āHis voice is softer now that Keith's gone.ā
ā"I got it," he says. "I can wrap myself. Toss it here."ā
āJason glances to the side. He leans against the doorframe, purposely casual.ā
Itās the little things that you describe that really get meāthose little ways he understands how scary he can seem and how heās trying to make sure you feel safe. I also love him waiting and telling Leslie about it anyways, just to be sure.
That ending line is so sweet and just another example of your showing > telling power!!!!
Amazing amazing job as always + you will be hearing from me again

A Pocketful of Sunshine
For @jasonsmirrorball my beloved (based on this, and building on this characterization)
ao3 link
He doesnāt tell you outright, but youāve gotten good at reading the secret language of Jason Todd. You notice the thickness of his sweaters, his tendency to wear many layers, the way his boots are functional and warm. You take note of how his apartment is always a few degrees warmer than comfortable. Yet his hands when you hold them are always cool to the touch. On sunny days when youāre closer to a puddle of sweat than a person, his touch remains strangely cool. How sometimes youāll go days without seeing him after a snap cold spell, Jason unwilling to explain and you reluctant to press. Your worry after returning late one night to find him staring out the darkened window, your routine kiss hello like pressing your lips to ice, something about it stirring him out of his statue state. The only thing you can conclude is that something about the cold haunts him. But something about the warmth will bring him back to you.
Sunnie sunnie sunnie
You do such an amazing job of showing, not telling. You trust the audience to connect the dots you give them and i love the end result so much.
This fic is very acts of service meets gift giving and itās so sweet. You did a really nice job of creating this cozy atmosphere throughout the fic, it had me really craving that kind of reassuring warmth you described so beautifully. I really enjoy headcanons about jasonās body temperature running really hot/cold, and this is exactly why.
I think itās really sweet how towards the end you started to describe how jason mirrors your actions of counteracting the cold, but with his emotions/boundaries. I love him using this new form of love language as a method of communicating with you and opening up in his own way.
I also like that you didnāt use it as a reason for his communication problems to go away entirely, rather the beginning step of a process of greater healing.
Beautiful job thank you for sharing with us š
BEEN WAITING FOR THIS BESTIE
what about a tired and very touch-starved jason wakes up at like 2pm and fem!reader is out of bed??? and he comes and finds them and throws them over his shoulder and brings them back to bed???? because why would you leave jaybean by himself????? unnacceptable???
THIS IS SO ADORABLE WHAT
And the idea of people waiting for my requests to be open is so weird like⦠what do you mean you wanna read my writings and hear my thoughts??? Yāall make me smile so much I swear
Side note: Iām so sorry this is a month late. And then also another day late than I said I would post.
Side side note: if yāall saw me post this without the photo headerā¦. No you didnāt

Jason Todd x gn!Reader || Domestic Fluff || Word Count: 758
Warnings: not completely proofread. Gun mention.
Jasonās pulled himself out of a bad dream. Not quite a nightmare, though something eerily close.
It was one of those rare nights that he had off of patrol. One he where the two of you got to eat dinner together, watch some TV, get ready for bed, then fall asleep in your shared bed. He enjoyed the chances when he got them.
He laid on his stomach under the comfortably heavy duvet. His left arm was bent beneath his pillow, his hand grazing the hidden .44 he had convinced you to let him keep there, the other arm laying in front of him. He kept his eyes closed, clinging to his last tendrils of sleep.
All he needed was you back in his arms and his dreams would turn good again, filled with the smell of your soap and hints of faded perfume.
Slowly, he stretches his right arm out across the sheets, sleepily searching for your form. It drags along the sheets, his entire body only half-asleep.
Heās aware that thereās this⦠itch in his skin. Not a physical itch. An itch that can only be satisfied by having your arms around him again.
Jason Todd doesnāt count sheep. He counts your heart beats or your breathing. Sometimes both.
This is a very sweet oneāanother fic that did some heavy lifting to form my version of jason.
āHe laid on his stomach under the comfortably heavy duvet. His left arm was bent beneath his pillow, his hand grazing the hidden .44 he had convinced you to let him keep there, the other arm laying in front of him. He kept his eyes closed, clinging to his last tendrils of sleep.ā
I couldnāt figure our exactly why, but this lives in my brain 24/7.
āJason Todd doesnāt count sheep. He counts your heart beats or your breathing. Sometimes both.ā
āHe shuffles his feet. A purposeful noise that he wouldnāt otherwise make as he went about his day, one to get your attention.ā
You know your characters really well, donāt you? Amazing characterization, I love the inclusion of little details/tidbits of their relationship.
āYou turn around, your glass of water in your hand. You take notice of your boyfriendās large stature filling the entryway, a sleepy pout on his lips. You give him a smile. He can tell you're trying not to laugh at his fatigued state.ā
This reads like a picture. I can see it so vividly and I love it. This is exactly what I imagine jason to be like when heās tired, grumpy but very touchy and loverboy-esque.
I love the simplicity of his actions as he picks reader up and takes her back to bed, not a moments hesitation.
āHe finishes off the last two gulps of your water and sets the glass on the night stand.ā
This is hot to me, idk why, but it is
Thank you for posting this!
Two Scoops // J. Todd x gn!reader
Requested? Yes!
WARNINGS: swearing, gun violence, food
Summary: The infamous vigilante of Gotham, Red Hood, comes walking into your work one night, slaps down a twenty, and asks for the most disgusting combination of flavors you can possibly make. He keeps coming back.
Part two here
The first night should be revelatory. It should be the thing that jump starts your moving process and gets you to look at Indeed for the first time in months. If it were any other city, you would turn in your apron and that stupid fucking visor you had to wear and move out of this godforsaken shithole.
But this is Gotham and you really arenāt that surprised.
The artificial buzzing of the fluorescent lights of Creamyās Ice Cream was nearly drowned out by the sheer artistic talent of Carly Rae Jepsen. You donāt know why Creamyās was open until two in the morning but, again, this is Gotham. Potheads, drunken college students, and tearful twenty year olds ensnared by the hells of capitalism needed a sugary pick-me-up in the wee hours, you supposed. It was a decent paying job for part time and the late hours werenāt as packed as earlier in the day.
But it did come with certain drawbacks. Heading home late at night was the biggest one, but crime seemed to be on a steady decline with the presence of the various vigilantes.
This was the first Jason fic I ever read, I remember so vividly the progress of me falling in love with this character over the course of this fic. So first off, thank you for that Honey.
So this is a trope I actually donāt usually find myself drawn to, but ever since this Iāve had to give it a shot every time I see one because this was just so good.
You did an amazing job setting the scene and the vibes at the beginning, starting with the details of readers uniform to the buzzing of the fluorescent lights. That shows the reader that you (author) are in the story and have a strong connection to the narrative that youāre telling. I also like the side details (like reader being grateful that their shift is nearly over + the few other customer sightings that night) make the story feel more real, like the reader has an actual life and experiences outside of Jason.
My favorite thing about this is the imagery you set up even with few words said. Your word choices do wonders to help set up the tone youāre going for and it leaves the reader able to jump right into it, no adjustment curve for figuring it out.
The way you write Red Hood specifically might have influenced all of my writing, honestly. Now that iām going back reading this, Iām noticing that we write those little physical comedy very similarly. I write like that because I think itās very funny and I think Iām very funny, so, I think you are very funny too.
āYou pointed to the sign on the door and watched as he slowly turned to stare at it. Or, at least, you hoped he was staring at it. You couldn't tell with the mask.ā
āHe pointed a finger at Robin like a disappointed parent chastizing a child.
āRed Robin ruffled Robinās hair and casually evaded a knife that Robin had pulled out of seemingly nowhere.ā
āRed Hood was staring off somewhere in the distance, or so you assumed thanks to the helmet, as the door rang again.ā (This oneās my favorite)
I loved the introductions of all of the bats so much, theyāre each excellent tributes to their characters. Robinās especially I thought was hilarious. The interactions between them too are absolutely choice, I love it I love it I love it.
I think you have a really wonderful way of moving the pacing along, just slow enough to leave you anticipating what could come next.
To me, first-meets and slow-falling-in-love are some of the most difficult things to write but this is like a masterclass on it.
āThis is a gun free zone, you fucking idiot.ā
Are you kidding me? Heās the love of my life
This is something that should have 10k notes, youāre so talented and i love you thanks for writing
coming soon
