A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (2019)

Tom Hanks’ portrayal of Fred Rogers absolutely shook me to my core. I went into this movie expecting nothing, despite growing up with a family that adored Mister Rogers in his entirety...I had been born three months after his passing and overlooked the re-runs that would play on weekday mornings.In my opinion the movie shed light on how much of a revolutionary Mister Rogers was, He took problems that even the most level headed adults would be consumed by and turned them into emotional outlets for children. The movie was an inside look into televised childhood therapy and truthfully it took me by storm, even I needed to hear what was being said in the words he spoke. The kindness of Mister Rogers is not something that is normal these days,his warmth remains alive and present as does his eternal friendship.
