stand out, fit in.

sem emits an airy chuckle as his hands move to rest at xander’s hips, squeezing. “you always have something to say, don’t you?” his grip tightens as he lifts the younger and throws him onto the bed with slight force, but the kind he knows xander likes. sem climbed on top of him and leaned down to nip along his clavicle, humming in satisfaction. “since you wanna be so vocal today, why don’t you tell me what you want, huh?” it was said with sarcasm, the kind that was laced with a bit of disappointment. while waiting on the other’s response, the elder continued to trail kisses along his neck, loving the feeling of it a little too much. 

sem intentionally rolled his eyes for the photographer to see. “my time is very valuable, sir, so please make this quick.” his voiced laced with sarcastic venom, sem worked his usual professional magic for the camera. he knew what he was doing, of course. he’d been in the business for years now. so when the photographer opened his mouth again, it drove sem even further towards exploding. these particular shots were framed as medium close-ups, so it didn’t really matter how white his knuckles were turning from holding his anger in. “why don’t you fucking be professional and tell me what you’re looking for rather than berating me.” his response was followed by a grumpily-mumbled phrase in dutch, meaning something along the line of fucking bitch. 

this drew a cocky grin against sem’s lips, humming against xander’s neck. he nipped at the spot he’d been working once more before drawing back, satisfied with the mark he’d left. “hm, make sure to show it off to your date.” his voice was laced with sarcasm, fingers carding through xander’s hair. “let him know how much you liked it.” he wasted no time in closing the gap between them. he was tired of waiting, just wanted his hands all over the younger. his lips were swollen but he ceased to stop, sliding his hands down to tug at the hem of the other’s shirt. 

sem was definitely sporting an unattractive sweat stain. it’s hard to chase your jaguar of a dog through the park right after you’d just woken up. the hoodie and sweatpants combo didn’t help any, of course. “i am so sorry...” he’s panting, because of course he’s panting and sweaty and exhausted the one time he’d be forced to interact with someone. he quickly reached out and grabbed mickey from the stranger’s arms, mumbling how he shouldn’t run off like that.  it was when he looked up from mickey that he finally got a glance at the other across from him. sharp features yet a tragically pretty face, sem mentally cursed himself for stepping out of the house like this. “he slipped away from me... i-- i hope he wasn’t any trouble?” this sem was vastly different from his alter ego. when he wasn’t working or attending any absurd industry events, sem actually felt... happy with his life. it was nice, even if it meant running into an attractive stranger with sweat stains all down his back. 

sem was immediately turned off by this photographer. usually, they were too pushy and wanted to act like your best friend... but this one was different. he was rude and it made sem want to be there even less. he scoffed and tugged add the tight clothing he was put in, a habit he often found himself doing when he was particularly grumpy. “i know what i’m doing, thanks.” he mumbled through gritted teeth, rolling his eyes once his back was turned to the photographer. here we go again, he thought. “let’s make this quick, yeah? i hope you know how to do your job.” at this point, he wasn’t even going to make an effort to be polite to the other - unimpressed expression and a grumpy attitude, sem frankly just wanted to go get a fucking drink. 

THEY HAVE TO TALK ABOUT SOMETHING ABOUT THEIR LIFE.something about my life, huh? well, i was actually adopted and raised by my parents on a farm in the netherlands. we didn’t have much money growing up, so i worked hard on the farm and at school to make my parents proud. i think i’ve managed to make them proud now, right? tch.. my mom says i look handsome in designer clothing. it feels nice to know your parents are proud of you. even if things are tough, that always seems to push me through the difficult times. 

it was another one of those nights. sem (of course) had a rough day at work and walked straight to the bar afterwards for a few drinks. he was enough drinks in to be tipsy already when he actually tuned into his surroundings. there was a band playing on the stage not far from him. sem wasn’t bothered by them, so he considered that a win for everyone involved.  once the band had stopped performing and the room filled back up with chattering, sem abandoned his regular seat at the bar and sauntered over towards the first member of the band he saw. once in front of him, he opened his mouth and spoke with a slight slur in his words. “hey, man... how do your fingers not fall off when you play?” it was a stupidly drunken question, but sem suddenly found himself oozing with charisma and absolutely needed to make a friend before he went crazy. @94lost​

sem hummed as his lips stretched into a cocky smile. he knew he’d win, but he chose to show it through actions rather than words. he reached down to pull xander’s fingers away from his pants, settling them on his stomach as he leaned forward, breath hot against his ear. “of course i do, hmm.” his lips teasingly ghosted against xander’s neck, eventually peppering warm kisses against the skin. after warm kisses came little nibbles, of course. sem hummed as he worked a spot that would hopefully draw a whimper from the younger. “we’ll worry about them later.” he mumbled in between nibbles, each word vibrating against the other’s skin. 

it was routine - and more than that, it was honestly the thing he looked forward to the most every day. mickey, his long-haired dachshund, knew the drill. every morning he woke sem up by nudging his cold snout against his cheek. of course, that was mickey’s way of saying get your lazy ass up and take me on my morning walk. it always took sem a decent amount of time ( way too long if you ask mickey ) to get out of bed, pull on a jacket and fetch the leash.  eventually, though, they were on their way. sem stepped out the sweatpants he slept in and the hoodie he picked up from his floor and threw on. his hair was a mess and he hadn’t bothered to put his contacts in, preferring his glasses over poking himself in the eye. because sem is usually half asleep when mickey drags him on their walk, he doesn’t seem to notice how insistently mickey is tugging on the leash. mickey has always been a clever dog - and he never liked to be held back by his leash. one second, mickey was right by sem’s side. the next? he was taking off down the park’s sidewalk. that definitely woke sem up. he mumbled a curse and took off in a sprint after his dog. @chilledspines​
