Vampire was the disease that riddled his body, still representative of his time in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Muscled, scarred here and there, yet still a decent figure all the same. Joshua had moments where he wished he died in the protests like his Father, ridding him the fate of becoming a vampire.
Yet he was here, surely this immortality was God’s Will all along? The man noticed how the pup portrayed himself, with arms at last folded in front of his chest while words noted disinterest. Sebastian wasn’t taking the bait, nor was the wolf interested in going anywhere.
Someone trained him right, unless Cyanide’s lost its control on this sole werewolf all along. Joshua rolled his head back in a nod, soft hum parting his lips, “I understand your hesitation, but I have done little to be of threat, truly. I was only praying, before I came across you.”
Joshua’s gaze swiveled from Sebastian then the bars up ahead, especially the Crimson King that he often frequented. “Something with culture and sustenance. I was heading to the bar, but that isn’t suited for a nutritious palate. Why not the Greek restaurant, further down? Two blocks from here,” he added, gauging what Sebastian would do next. He gave the wolf a place and distance–will he join Joshua in a late night meal, or hone in on his gut and get out of the pastor’s path?
The vampire wasn’t wrong, apart from a few remarks, he had done nothing to be threatening or otherwise a danger. Sebastian had followed him out of pure curiosity, and with an offer to get more familiar with the religious vampire over a meal wasn’t necessarily a bad idea.
His defensive body language let off, releasing his arms for them to fall back down his sides and an albeit still nervous smile reappeared on his lips. His curiosity had gotten the best of him yet again. There could be a story hidden behind all of this, right? There had to be now.
“Hm, alright. I guess that should be harmless enough.” A light hum followed his words and he then offered a few nods. If anything, he was relieved to leave the block around the bar with the dense vampire population to amp up his nerves. “But I’m sure you won’t find something to sate your hunger at a greek restaurant.”

The other had a fair point, was there anyone that really didn’t like gifts? “Are you sure about that?” He asked with a tilt of his head. “I can see you wearing one of those foil hats.” Wells teased the other man, a slight laugh leaving his lips as he shook his head. There was a pause before he started nodding instead. “Okay, I can see that.” The doctor agreed. “A lot of that stuff circles around buying stuff.”
“And I’d rock it. Tin foil couture would suit me.” He strung along with another playful chuckle following his words. “See? I’m not entirely wrong, right? I’m all for the message of love thy neighbor and all that-..” he paused, then slowly sighing while shaking his head. “but when it’s nothing but buying stuff and spending money on useless things, then you lose me.” he slammed his hand, albeit a not too hard, into the table in objection. “Maybe I’m just not getting paid enough to follow along.”
killgames:
“Follow me and find out,” the demon challenges, slowly turning on his heels to ~ seemingly ~ walk away, only to direct the other in the direction of the restroom.
Sebastian stays standing in the one spot for just a few moments, contemplating the best course of action. With only a moment of hesitation, he turns around to follow the other into the restroom.

Sebastian must have caught a scent with the visible nose wrinkle, or why else would he move? Unless Joshua was not the happy and friendly priest like he portrayed himself as, of course. The vampire, having been around for well over four hundred years, felt life was pedantic. Predictable. Werewolves were no exception with their nose wriggling, searching eyes, and a lupine growl that always found itself forming in the back of an agitated pup’s throat.
A growl was lacking, ensuring the pup before him was domesticated to an extent. How remarkable. “Curiosity is a common trait with you lot,” he remarked, tone taking on an amused hum. Joshua bobbed his head, eyes slowly blinking as he returned his gaze to Sebastian. While a mutt, he was a friendly one.
It’s only a matter of time until friendliness gave way to either fear, anger, or submission. Whether Joshua was right in that instance, was all up to Fate. “I assume this trail of yours lead to me. I’m not sure whether to give you a treat or buy you a meal,” a laugh surfaced in Joshua’s words, light to the ears and reserved in nature. He wasn’t one to get overtly excited, unless God was involved or he found a new member for his sparse, wide-spread ‘family’.
“Well? Treat or a meal?” he asked, giving Sebastian an option. While his distaste remained hidden, Sebastian’s sleuthing could warrant success in Joshua’s alternative hobby, the Defiance. Provided the pup was willing to put in the hours whilst betraying his kind in the process. Joshua knew he was.
It was very clear that the man knew what he was. He made no effort to hid it in the way he spoke at least, it had been a while since he had been lopped in together with dogs and other carnivores alike and if he wasn’t already feeling a little stand-offish, he probably would have found it a tad amusing. Perhaps masking his identity was a little harder than he had been led to believe.
He slowly inhaled before letting out a light sigh. He would have stuffed his hands into his pockets, had he not felt a looming need to defend himself still. This wasn’t a dangerous situation, yet, but again, he was out of his element in this part of town, so just what could he do if an attack were to happen?
He was starting to regret having even strolled through the neighborhood to begin with. “It might be a little too late for a meal. I’m not one for going on the prowl at night.” he tilted his head ever so slightly to the side, crossing his arms in front of his chest with a still concerned expression on his face. “Just what exactly are you offering? I don’t believe taking something from a stranger is entirely smart on my part.”
Joshua had to be a vampire. There was no other explanation as to why he could pick out what he was as quick as he could. Then again, detecting vampires wasn’t his expertise, so you could call it a hunch or an educated guess.

“You think everything’s overrated,” Damon countered in between taking shots. The two had been at the game of pool for a while now, chugging back beers and teasing one another. “That’s why you’re still single,” he tormented playfully. “Every guy you’re with thinks you’re uninterested in anything.” He cracked a grin once he landed his shot before heading over to his werewolf friend. “I’m starting to think you’re a hoax,” he chastised as he tossed him the pool cue now that it was his turn.
“Hey, that’s so not true.” A feigned offended expression appeared on his lips for a good few moments until his friend was done taking his shot, however his smile reappeared once he was done shaking his head in playful jest. “I’m not uninterested, just skeptical. There’s a difference.” his hands clasped onto the cue, before he leans over the table to take his shot. “Guys line up to date me, thank you very much, maybe I’m just not looking for anything?”

Wells looked over with a light surprise on his face, he hadn’t expected Sebastian to say that, but then again they were in a bar so there were not many rules on conversation. “So you just like presents?” A smirk twitched at his lips as he thought this over. “Are you a conspiracy theorist?” He asked, the grin spreading as his long fingers wrapped around the glass, raising the beer to his lips though his eyes never left Sebastian.
“What, do you hate flag day too?”
“Who doesn’t like gifts?” His expression turned serious for only a short moment, before it softened up again in a playful grin on his lips. “I’m no flat-earther, i promise.” he raised a hand in defense, before raising his glass to down the remaining beer in it, finishing his drink with a satisfied smirk on his lips.
“Look, all I’m saying is that holidays are usually just money-grabs. At least that’s what they’ve become.”
“... You didn’t ask, but i honestly think the holidays are overrated.” Sebastian mumbled, slightly, just slightly intoxicated, which wouldn’t last long because of his boosted metabolism, but he sought to enjoy the buzz while it was there. “Unless you want to give me a gift, of course, then I love it.”
His chuckle was brief but hearty, followed by a satisfied smile. “But for real though- the holidays are a hoax, I’m convinced.”
killgames:
“Centuries of glowing feedback for one,” he replies, even more confidently than before. At the same time, both hands of the demon moved to rub the werewolves pecs through his shirt, their distance intimate. Both their bodies now touch in all the right places. “It’s really something you ought to experience first hand,” he teases further.
“Now that’s a promising prospect, do remind me to give you a review later then.” his smile curls into more of a smirk, realizing just how determined the other male is. In a way, being picked out like that was nothing short of flattering. “Though, you’ve talked it up a lot already. You better not disappoint.”

Having deflected the original with a light bit of humor didn’t seem to have sat well with the guy he’d been tailing, despite it having only been for a short while. Sebastian probably wouldn’t have found it very funny either, had the roles been switched.
The hostility emanating from Joshua was enough to make Sebastian visibly scrunch up his nose for a short second, once the scent of all the vampires in the area subsided. It was clear in not only his voice, but in his demeanor, that he wasn’t a fan of werewolves and that could very well turn dangerous in this part of the city.
“A meal? The pizza here isn’t very good, so I wouldn’t venture out all the way here to get one.” his lips curled into a nervous smile, trying his best again to ease the tension, getting himself out of a tough spot. “I’m simply a curious soul. Call it a gut feeling.” he added while letting his gaze follow Joshua’s. “I see something out of the ordinary, and I follow it.”
“Oh, Father, who art in heaven,” a soft whisper as heels clipped the cement sidewalk. A ring glistened on his white button-up, reflecting a sun which he could stroll under without so much as burned flesh.
“Holy be thy name,” a soft breath carried his words, vampire heading off to one of the blood bars that populated this side of Cyanide. He hated to go in, mingle with the immoral and corrupt that spawned like flies. But it had to be done, or else more bodies will be tied to him.
The Defiance affiliate paused in his steps. Someone had followed him. Someone who he didn’t recognize, in smell nor breaths. What was it, were they so desperate to seek a counsel with God when the preacher had better things to do by quenching his thirst?
Joshua turned around, the broad of his back illuminated by the streetlamp above. Dark eyes scrutinized the other, while he put on a gentle tone that reverberated in his throat, “Are you seeking guidance from God? I am afraid I’m not here to pray-on-the-go. Tell me, what is it that truly brings you to follow me?”
A slight shiver went through his spine as the wolf took a better look around the dimly lit street. Eyes were on him wherever he looked, but that was to be expected considering the dense vampire population around the blood bar in the area.
Sebastian prided himself on knowing the general gist of what was going on in the city. it was his job after all, and should you ask him, he’d say he was pretty darn good at it. No one could know anything though, so when he picked up faint whispers of god, coming from this side of the city, he decided it would be no harm to investigate.
Although he’d only been following the other man for a short moment, it didn’t take him long to get noticed, and before he could steer away and avoid confrontation, he was already being confronted with his tailing.
“Hm.. This isn’t the first place I’d look for God.” he confidently answered, taking another quick look around the neighborhood before his gaze returned to the man in front of him. “Would you believe me if I said I wasn’t actually planning on following you?”
“Forget him,” says the demon as he puts himself in-between the two men who were mid-conversation, cutting off the other guy. “I’m the one you’ll want in your stocking…”
The sudden interruption definitely caught the wolf by surprise, making him raise both his eyebrows as a result. “Cute.” He voices briefly, having completely shifted his attention from the man he’d been speaking to just a moment prior. “One might wonder where that confidence comes from.”
[ i figured i’d post a little something since i won’t have time to do a proper bio for the next couple of days, so here’s some quick pointers on who sebastian is! ]
