Yuri visual novel developer SukeraSparo, known for their games The Expression Amrilato, announced that it would be remastering the Yuri mystery visual novel Folklore of Kudan and release the title in the West. The remaster will include support for English, simplified, Chinese, and Traditional Chinese, in addition to the original Japanese.

The remastered version of Folklore of Kudan will also include new features, like a jump function to return to any point in the game, and will increase the resolution from 720p to 1080p (full HD). At the time of writing, SukeraSparo has not confirmed a release date for the visual novel.

Originally released in 2019, Folklore of Kudan is an all-ages visual novel following sixteen-year-old Kudan Sakuya, as she teams up with  Occult Club president, Akinashi Koto, to protect cooking teacher Shima Touko, from the mysterious and dangerous ‘Kudan’ urban legend that haunts her.

The game features artwork and character designs by Hanekoto and is written by Shimizu Hatsumi, who previously wrote the Flowers Yuri game series. The game features artwork and character designs by Hanekoto and  stars Japanese voice talents including: Fukuhara Ayaka (The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls) as Kudan Sakuya, Naganawa Maria (Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid) as Akinashi Koto, and Iwami Manaka (Fruits Basket 2019) as Shima Touko.

A manga adaptation of Folklore of Kudan premiered in the August issue of Comic Yuri Hime. The is illustrated by Nijiru and follows the events of the game.
