I could consider that but I donāt want to give him a name that would outright belittle him or give out true intentions. Titles are typically given with the idea of their abilities in mind, artificer can make explosives/ literally is an artificer, gourmand is focused on food/ literally a word for āone who is excessively fond of eating and drinking/ one who is heartily interested in good food and drinkā.
To call him the hero is ironic because he really isnāt, but he sees himself that way. His whole thing is him trying to fix things in his own twisted way. I donāt want to call him ātraitorā or something along those lines either because 1. Again I donāt think it fits as well and it feels like giving away a part of the story, 2. Rainworld naming conventions just arenāt like that. None of rain worlds names give away the story. Saint doesnāt give away the end of the game nor the full karma ability, artificer doesnāt give away his violence and hatred against scavs.
Hero to me wouldnāt give away anything because he isnāt really a hero and itās kinda along the lines of messenger. Itās a vague word, but gives a sense of importance and a purpose. But I guess maybe you could also make the argument against witness. Is witness along the lines of rain worlds naming conventions?
Wow this got long, my bad. I just really enjoy coming up with names for slugcats and explaining them. I spent a while coming up with names for my own OCs (not with naught or tweak though lol) like glial and saprophyte, and Iām still trying to find a name for one slugcat, as well as come up with names for iterators, but iterators are different in their naming conventions and typically donāt mean anything to the story or their character and are just random. (Except for my one oc who has a name focused on the reason they were made and their purpose, which greatly affects them and their wellbeing lol)
