ooc;; It’s just instinctual for her to see Nepgear as her little sister, the clingy little sib who looks to her for comfort, support, encouragement, fun; and that seeps a lot into how Neptune so frequently treats her, from the fact she often goes to sleep cuddling her, coddles her so frequently, the dumb affectionate nicknames... but Nepgear’s growing up. Saving the world has assisted in helping her grow up so much that Neptune can’t help but feel like she’s getting left behind. Look at Nepgear... being all brave, and strong, and diligent, and self-efficient... and where does that leave her? What’s she supposed to do if Nepgear’s ready to build herself up as her own woman? What does that leave Neptune, huh? She’s proud of her sis for growing so much, of course she is... but all the same, she can’t stand that she’s grown up so much. Because she’s growing so much, standing on her own... but Neptune isn’t. She gets coddled as much as she coddles. She may not have been with her sister her whole life, but she couldn’t imagine going on without her. Her personality’s more rounded than she’ll admit, her kindness is unbelievable... but she hasn’t grown beyond the experiences she’s been through, and she doesn’t want to.

What’ll happen, then, if her sister starts living her own life? Leaving Neptune to keep pushing on without her clinging to her?

“ ... And Happy Halloween to you, too, buddy! ” An exchange of candies was offered quite pleasantly from the goddess to the child, who seemed quite happy that they were getting their candy from the Goddess of the nation herself! “ Don’t eat it all at once, m’kay? You’ll get, like, the worst tummy ache! Save that for when it’s time for thanks! ”

As the door closed, a certain tome floated nearby.

“ I’ll admit I’m surprised, Neptune. I’d expected you to head out for Trick-or-Treating with Nepgear in tow. I hardly expected you to remain in the basilicom this year. ”

“ Well, weren’t you the one gettin’ all mad at me for not buildin’ up shares? Keeping the Basilicom open to let those rowdy little candy-hunters get their divine fix o’ sweets is sure to get a little extra attention, no? ”

“ ... You intend to hoard the remaining candy for yourself, don’t you? ”

ooc;; This is the only piece of Neptunia media where Neptune has been depicted with teeth.

ooc;; It’s worth noting, Neptune’s a character infamous for her affairs in getting amnesia. Granted, they only used it as a plot device one other time outside of this (unless you choose to count the original game, which I don’t); but in the one actual time she forgot her memories outside of Nep High School, it didn’t bug her at all - hell, she willingly chose to stay an amnesiac in order to avoid the risk of the memories being too bad, and wasn’t all too broken up about it really.
