i can't thank you enough for keeping the color gang and other characters even a tad bit accurate to what alan had them!, the community always doesn't seem to respect Alan's traits for his characters!, so I thank you very much!
Also loved that analysis you did for the colors!, and I really am happy to see someone else think dark isn't the first to raise a hand during a fight!, even now! In the recent episode!

To be honest, when I draw characters, I try not to contradict what we've already seen in the episodes. But mostly I draw “what if…” scenarios, and that’s harder—I have to guess how a particular character would act. It’s easy if the character has appeared often enough and viewers have had a chance to observe their reactions and behavior in different situations.
It’s much harder with those who haven’t been shown AT ALL. And I’m sure that ALL of my work on “Navy and Neon” won’t match reality in terms of these characters’ personalities if we ever see them. And even the King—in fact, we haven’t seen much of him, for example, in everyday situations—so here, too, I’ve most likely made a mistake by depicting him in a more ordinary setting, and I’ll only realize it once it’s revealed. But mentally, I’ll be ready for it.
I really want to make things as accurate as possible, but because I mostly draw characters who have little screen time (and some who have none at all), this forces me to spend time thinking rather than drawing.
I’d like to go into more detail about the designs—I spent a long time drawing and thinking them through, though you might not be able to tell from the final result. I wanted their clothing to suit both their personalities and their roles. Choosing the colors for the clothes was quite difficult; at first, I thought about making each character’s clothes the same color as their skin, but in the end, it didn’t really matter. I started changing the colors to be more similar and making them lighter or darker; in some designs, I didn’t hesitate to make the clothes a color that differed significantly from their skin tone. Another important thing was that I made it a rule that the design should leave the arms and legs free—stick figures are constantly moving and waving their arms and legs, especially in fight scenes—so it was important that the clothes didn’t restrict movement. This immediately ruled out various dresses, skirts, and long coats (like the ones detectives wear). This rule almost ruined my design for Orchid, since I wanted to make a kimono.
I still have a small sketch with some designs and their explanations; I’ll attach it to this reply. Maybe if anyone’s interested, I could do the same for the other characters too.
And finally, about the Lord. I’ll say right off the bat that I’m not a fan of his; as a person, he’s terrible, yet incredibly charismatic. It seems to me that he only holds back in the presence of those he considers cool—his allies—while at the same time he’ll sacrifice others without a shred of remorse. In our case, those were the Chosen One and the Hacker (the Victim). By the way, he punched the Chosen One (now NO ONE) in the stomach as a traitor; apparently, he still harbors a deep grudge against him. At first, I got the impression that he had originally planned to betray the Hacker (considering that he secretly planted a virus in the car and took control of Mici), but even after the fight, he didn’t give up on trying to keep the Hacker as an ally, which struck me as odd. Did he really think they could make up? To me, he’s a psychopathic terrorist who doesn’t fully understand other people’s feelings or how they think; for him, creating chaos is the meaning of life. And I hope that in the end, Lord gets what he deserves.
