I had the opportunity to see the original Star Wars before it was released. I had been doing some work for a brilliant SF magazine that was cutting edge in it’s day and was invited to the small screening for friends. People were going out of their minds. It was like nothing we had ever seen before. We did not have the words to describe it. We just sat there in total awe. Honestly, that first scene of the enormous ship sailing up over our heads and never seemed to end had some of the greatest reactions from people I have ever heard and that was just the first moment of the film.
