The Winter Event is finally, well, finalized! We really do have to thank you all — every one of the participants from the wonderful Undella Bay! Thanks to you guys’ eagerness, we ended up having a pair for every single thread! So many, in fact, that we actually had to double up on a few Thread Prompts!

This also means that the signups for both the Winter Thread Event, and Secret Santa Event are now closed. The only reason the Secret Santa Event pairs aren’t publicized is, well, because that ruins the fun of it! It’s supposed to be secretive, but don’t worry — Gabby’s got you covered.

For those of you who signed up for the Secret Santa Event, you should soon be getting an IM from Gabby for who you will be the Secret Santa of!

So here’s how the Thread Event will go:

Participation starts today! You can get with your Thread partner and discuss how exactly your thread will go down. Keep in mind, the thread has no end date; it can go on for as long as you both are interested in keeping it up!

However, if both you and your Thread partner reply to your thread by Monday, December 31th, you’re eligible for a prize! If you guys both did reply, just let the hub know, and we’ll make sure you will absolutely get your gift to hatch on on New Year’s.

Hello folks! Gabby & Ty here with a little announcement! It seems most all of you are in the swing of studying or preparing to take your finals, or other end-of-the-year obligations are in full swing, and thus we wouldn’t want this fun event to end up being a worrisome hassle!

With that being said, signups will be extended until Saturday, December 15th, with Secret Santas being IM’d and thread partners being chosen that following Sunday, the 16th, so folks have until the end of next Saturday to sign any and all of their Muses up for this Event!

Hello everyone! Frosty feels, from your favorite Interviewers! It’s getting dark out at only 5PM, holiday cheer abounds all around, and we have some icy Events waiting for you! 

Just like last year, this Event comes in two parts — the Thread Event, and Secret Santa! The details for each are listed down below! So put on your overcoats and get ready for snowballs! Let’s take a look at what Santa’s bringing to town!

[ THREAD EVENT ]

What could be better for bringing in the holiday cheer than spending time together? Take a look below to see what awkward, fun, festive scenarios would smoosh your Muses into a weird situation this holiday season!

[ RULES ]

Signups for the Winter Thread Event will start on Sunday, December 2nd, and end on Sunday, December 9th at 11:59PM.

All messages for participation in the Thread Event will be sent to the Hub’s inbox.

Please be sure to put which three prompts you’d like to do most, and we’ll try to prioritize your thread based on your choices!

Prompts will be posted on Monday, December 10th as to who’s paired with who.

Participation will then start on Monday, December 10th, and will end on Sunday, December 25th. 

Participation counts as you write your thread; if both you and your thread partner manage to reply to your thread ( one starts, and another replies ), you then both automatically become eligible for prize! See [ Prizes ] below for details.

Please be sure to tag it as “ubr event,” or have some indication that it’s intended for the event for it to count!

You’re certainly free to continue your thread for as long as you’d like! If it’s a great thread you have, keep it going! But participation for the chance to win your prize will only be for the two weeks above.

Baby It’s Cold Outside scenario: Our Muses meet for a drink of your choice, but a giant snow storm hits. Your Muse convinces mine to stay the night, for safety reasons, of course.

Your Muse was walking in the snow by my house and my Muse was aiming to hit the tree behind you with a snowball but I just nailed you in the face. Would you like to come in for some hot cocoa?

My Muse slipped on ice outside and your Muse ran over and tried to help but we both ended up slipping too so now we’re both kinda just laying on the ground.

Your Muse learns to make traditional food from my Muses region to help them feel less homesick.

Decorating Wars: Our Muses try to outdo each other with glitter and fancy wrapping.

Our Muses compete to make the best gingerbread house.

Ugly Sweater contest? Sign me up!

Our Muses build snowmen together.

You need two people to ride the sleigh ride, and our Muses are the only two without a partner.

Our Muses sign up to be Mall Elves but the Santa never shows. One of us has to take the spot as Santa; who volunteers?

Your Muse gets their tongue stuck on a cold pole, mine has to figure out how to get yours unstuck.

[ SECRET SANTA ]

Speaking of Santa, it looks like the Santa this year is gonna be you all! For the Secret Santa event, the rules are as follows:

[ RULES ]

Signups for the Secret Santa Event will also start on Sunday, December 2nd, and end on Sunday, December 9th at 11:59PM.

All messages can be sent to our inbox.

On Monday, December 10th, we will randomly select who will be the Secret Santa of who.

Gabby & Ty will then IM your character as to who they’ve been assigned to.

This means your character will be the Secret Santa, and have to give the person we assign you a gift.

Once you have decided your gift, you can send an ask to Gabby & Ty with a description of your gift to your recipient.

Gabby & Ty will then submit this same ask and gift you had sent to your recipient, from Monday, December 17th, at the earliest, to Wednesday, December 19th, at the latest. This gives you roughly ten days to decide on a gift for your recipient!

To the recipients of the Secret Santa gifts — with your Muse’s reaction to the Secret Santa gift ask you’ve received, you then have the option to guess who your Secret Santa might be! 

If your Muse happens to guess correctly, they become eligible for a prize! See [ Prizes ] below for details.

On Christmas Day, December 25th, we’ll post a full list as to whose Secret Santa was whose, as well as who guessed correctly!

[ PRIZES ]

For the Winter Thead Event, if both you and your thread partner manage to reply to your thread ( one starts, and another replies ), you then both automatically become eligible for a regular Pokemon Egg!

For the Secret Santa Event, if your Muse happens to guess who their Secret Santa was correctly, they become eligible for a shiny Pokemon Egg! A game of certainty for a lesser prize, versus a game of chance for something big!

On Christmas Day, we’ll post a full list as to who will receive a regular Egg from the Winter Thread Event, and who will receive a shiny Egg for guessing their Secret Santa correctly.

Eligible participants will receive their Egg on Christmas Day, and they’ll need a week to hatch! On New Year’s Day, we will post a follow-up post as to what your Egg hatched into! A new Pokemon for a New Year!

Please be aware that if you’ve participated in both the Winter Thread Event, and the Secret Santa, and have guessed your Secret Santa correctly, you will only receive the one shiny Egg.

The Pokemon you will receive will be a random, Level 1 Pokemon of following types: Ice, Fairy, Steel, and Normal.

And as per your beachy Mods, keep in mind that during this Event, anything counts as activity, including answering asks for your Secret Santa guesses, and your Winter thread replies!

So show off your cheer and give us all you got! We’ll be keeping an eye out for you!

Well, with a pretty face like that, how could Gabby refuse! She was starstruck at the request, but she quickly realized, upon accepting it, that... she was in for a rough time. It took all of Ty’s begging and pleading for her to snap out of it, and realize that, in order to capture the elusive Pokemon, she and Ty would have to take yet another trip to a daring, deep-end cave to find the Dragon.

But hey, besides being a pretty face, she was a prizewinner, and Gabby wasn’t about to let the Lorekeeper down!

So they searched, having stuck a Smoke Ball on Magnemite in case they had to make more than one speedy escape! And eventually, they found the small baby there — green in stark contrast to the blues and blacks they were used to.

Needless to say, the Dragon-type expert was right; the Pokemon was difficult, not only to wrangle, but to take care of. Seeing as how he had no eyes, he decided to just eat everything in his path — threatening to tear away all of their expensive equipment around their studio, so much that Ty had to sacrifice a hat or two just to placate him.

When Zinnia finally did arrive, she appeared through the window, as you do, and sort of just... came up really really close to Gabby, asking where the Pokemon was. Flustered, she tucked her hair behind her ear and gestured vaguely to the black-and-green ball of destructive energy that was trying to make Ty’s prized camera equipment his lunch. 

“W-Well... you see, Miss Zinnia, that’s him right there! He seems perfect for you, if you ask me! He’s got just the same level of energy, and he’s super cute —!” Wait. Forget that last part.

Well, this was a recommendation from a Champion and an Elite alike, so Gabby knew she couldn’t let him down. But she wasn’t gonna lie. Wasn’t gonna front. This journey. This one was hard. Vast Poni Canyon was kind to nobody, and Jangmo-o only existed in the trial site, waaaay above where everything else was.

The two had to camp out for days, trying to find the elusive Pokemon — if it would be there at all. But eventually, they found him: the little highlighter pink and yellow Jangmo-o, and boy, the little guy was a fighter! But that only would mean he was fit for the Fighting-type Elite, would it?

It was a hard-fought battle. Ty ended up being on the receiving end of the Pokemon’s super hard, scaly headbutt. He was a proud one, to be sure, chirping and trilling after knocking Ty square on his rear-end.

Needless to say, it was sort of a relief that he’d be out of their hands soon. When Marshal arrived, the baby Pokemon greeted him with a headbutt to his leg, and a battle-ready trill.

“Oh, hey! Be nice! Sorry about that, Marshal. This one wasn’t an easy catch by any means.”

Much as Gabby likes to do things her own way, there was no denying it was difficult to find a special little chocolate-mint Noibat perfect for the occasion. She tried Verdant Cavern, and the treacherous areas of Kalos’s Victory Road. She tried breeding. It was maddening, and she was sure she was getting the method down wrong.

When word spread through Seeking Trainers TV that there were a few prizewinners of some amazing Pokemon, a curious thing happened.

It was late at night, and Gabby was roused from her late-night video editing with Ty, there was a knock at their studio door. And in that bundle was… a shiny Noibat, all wrapped up in a little blanket, sleeping soundly, clutching onto a button.

She was perfect. The very next day, the interviewer had Dark come up to her doorstep — no longer a stranger to her anymore.

“Wow, Dark, you’re not gonna believe this one. I think she was meant for you! She was holding a button and everything — and I know how much your own Noibat loves buttons!”

Hello, hello, Undella Bay! We’re so happy that we’ve made it this far with the love and support of all of our members here! Always ready and willing to interview, we’ve been by your side from day one, and we’re so happy to help you guys circle back to our Anniversary Event celebrating Undella Bay one year later!

We have three whole events to tide you all over in celebration of what you’ve helped us achieve! Without further ado, let’s introduce our MUN LETTERS, our MUNDAY MEME BASH, and our RAFFLE EVENT!

[ THE EVENT ] 

Our Mun Letter Event! As you’re a part of this group, you’ve made some connections along the way — and hopefully, as we’ve always wished, that you’ve made some great friends! This is your opportunity now to show them your love and appreciation for all they’ve done for you, in whatever form you’d like — a traditional letter, drawings, a submission of a giant meme — it all works here!

For our Munday Event, we on the Hub are gonna do our best to compile as many Mun-related asks and prompts that will be sent out on Saturday, May 26th, and you’re welcome to include your own Mun-related asks that you pick up along the way, or have had stockpiled! On Saturday, everyone will get to participate in our big Meme Day Bash, sending asks from Mun to Mun to get to find out more about the faces behind our lovely Muses!

And last but not least, our Raffle Event is our staple across all of our Events — something you can simply drop your name into our Hub’s askbox, and see if you get a prize by the end of it! But here’s our little twist — this event is all about you! For this particular version of our Raffle Event, instead of submitting your Muses, you would submit yourself. If your name is chosen our of our three winners, you then get to choose which Muse gets their own Shiny Pokemon!

So here’s some guidelines to help you out!

[ MUN LETTERS EVENT ]

Participation will begin Sunday, May 6th, and end on Saturday, May 26th.

In a similar format to our previous Valentines Event, you, as the Mun, will submit a letter to Gabby & Ty, and we’ll compile those submissions into Private Posts.

These submissions can be anything you’d like, in whatever format you’d like! They can be letters that you’ve written, a link to a personalized playlist for your fellow Mun, drawings, etc. 

We would only ask for the name of the recipient of this content to be mentioned somewhere in the post.

If you’d like to remain anonymous, just be sure to mention that somewhere in the post as well.

Remember that these posts are being sent to fellow Muns — friends you’ve made along the way and want to show your love and appreciation for — and not their Muses, though your submission can be about their Muses, such as the way they play them, or how your initial interactions with their Muses led to friendships between you two.

While we don’t believe this will happen, hateful submissions will be deleted without notice.

There is no limit to how many submissions you can make for however many friends you want to appreciate! Send one, send them all!

If you don’t want to make a submission, that’s fine! You don’t have to make a submission to receive one.

On Sunday, May 27th, we’ll post a large Masterlist that consists of links to everyone’s individual private posts. They’ll have all of that person’s letters that they received.

[ MUNDAY MEME BASH ]

There is no signup for this Event! We’ll just ask that everyone who will wish to participate in our Meme Day Bash to stockpile some Memes that have to do with Mun-related asks. 

They can be prompts, symbols, etc.

On Saturday, May 26th ( not Monday; sorry guys ), between 4PM and 6PM we’ll post our compiled Masterpost of Mun-related Meme Day asks that you are all free to reblog onto your Muse’s blogs, and from there, you can be sent Mun-related Memes!

In the spirit of the occasion, there will be no limit on how many Memes you can reblog, unlike the usual three-Meme limit.

[ RAFFLE EVENT ] 

Signups will begin Sunday, May 6th, and end on Saturday, May 26th.

These asks will go to Undella Bay’s askbox.

Unlike our previous Raffle Events, rather than enrolling your Muses, you would enroll yourself under your own name.

Winners will be announced on Sunday, May 27th, and whoever wins can then choose which Muse will receive their Pokemon!

Please be aware that these Pokemon will still belong to your Muses, as in, whatever team you’ve had devised for them in their Pokemon page. 

Your Muse’s prize will be whatever Level 5, first-stage shiny Pokemon of their choosing, from the following types: Water, Ground, and Dragon.

If you happen to win, first of all, congratulations! Just be sure to send us an ask of which Pokemon you’d like! Of course, Legendaries are not allowed.

Please be aware that we also do not allow Pokemon who are not already these types starting out. So, for example, Eevee is not allowed to be chosen.

An update, dear viewers —

Our Raffle Event & Mun Letters Event has been extended until Saturday, June 2nd, which will also be the day of our Munday Meme Bash! Results for the Raffle and all of your submitted Mun Letters will be revealed on Sunday, June 3rd!

When she got this request from this cute little girl, she knew she couldn’t let her down! And that also meant that whatever sparks and static would come their way, Ty would always be there to sponge up the hits.

Yes he would. Yes he would. Did she say Ty? No, of course she meant Magnemite! They were practically built for that, anyway!

So off they went to the beautiful Kalos region, and they’d see those lush gardens again, and again, and... again. For three days straight. Hey, nobody ever said shiny hunting was easy.

Day three rolled around, the two sweaty and exhausted, still holding all of their recording gear with them with every escapade, and then they spotted him! Cheeky and mischievous and chocolate-brown! He was a good little boy at first, they thought, but it wasn’t long before he let them pet him and nuzzle him, and then he’d send his sparks flying to let you know you fell for his little game!

Gabby’s hair would be a mess for weeks, but that’s not what mattered now! What mattered now was making that little girl happy, darn it! So she huffed, making sure the little troublemaker didn’t hide all his nuts and berries everywhere around the studio before the girl in blue showed up. Gabby’s hair had still never recovered — but no matter! She was beaming. “Oh, little miss, you’ll have to keep an eye out for this one! He tries to play nice, then he gets you with his sparks!”

When she got this request, there were... quite a few places to look for one — a regular one, she was assuming ( that’s what this event entailed anyway, Gabby, God get with the program; Ice-types as last event! ), and on that list of the many places she could find a Vulpix, Sinnoh’s encounter rate was... certainly the least. And she had to play music from Kanto for some reason to make them come out, aaaaand it seemed like a pretty terrible idea.

But authenticity was all she’s about! After all, goshdarnit, she and Ty always carry around their recording equipment, even on these excursions. You never know when a good scoop will pop up, they say!

So she found herself on Route 209 honestly from six in the morning, to nine o’clock at night. This little girl was a hard one to find! Yeesh!

But thankfully, Fire-types definitely stand out more towards the nighttime, and that definitive sparkle was undeniable! Yes, it was, in fact that lovely yellow Vulpix she was looking for!

Flint must have noticed all the noise she was making when he arrived — goodness, this little girl did those little foxy yells all day long! But at least she was playful, and at least she didn’t want to roast them on a regular basis.

In fact, by the time he came in, Ty was happily messing around with her, Vulpix kicking around on her back and nibbling at his fingers. When he opened the door, the curious Pokemon easily ran up to him, jumping up on his leg.

“Well, howdy there, Flint! Looks like she’s already taken a shine to you!” Pun intended? Knowing Gabby, probably.

Now this girl on the other hand was quiet the elusive one. There she was, all the way in Hoenn’s Route 102, knee-high in the grass and trying to find some sort of semblance of that familiar horned cap.

Eventually, she did find it. She found it... blue! And she jumped at the opportunity to nab the little girl, but... the poor thing only knew how to Growl, so she felt pretty bad intimidating the timid thing to start.

Well, one way or another, she managed to actually scoop the Pokemon up in her arms, seeing as the Ralts had little in the ways to defend herself, and only then did she catch her.

When the ex-Triad appeared over in their studio, Gabby was... actually quite surprised. He was... much meeker than she expected. Seeing as how skittish she was, Gabby had her held in her hands when the other approached, and she set the Ralts down at a distance, allowing her to meet up with Dark at her own pace.

Cautiously, the Ralts looked him over, eventually scooting over with her small legs over to him. Eventually, she put one of her little hands on Dark’s knee, forming their bond of trust for life.

Gabby clasped her hands together excitedly. “Aww, would you look at that!”
