I’m so confused by Stranger Things being featured for pride month on Netflix like. Huh??? Sure there are gay characters but yall literally queerbaited the audience what

The queer rep in Stranger Things is what you could have expected to see in a "progressive" show that aired in 1990. A sapphic couple get together towards the end of the show, have extremely limited screen time, and predominantly exist to support a male character's arc.

You sound like you’ve never had your mother flick cigarette ashes out of the car window and have them fly into your face. You sound like you’ve never been kept up at night by the sound of your dad hacking up a lung because he has to get up for his midnight smoke. You sound like you’ve never had to run into a convenience store to get your mother cigarettes as soon as you turned eighteen and cringed at touching the box because you know they’re not only killers but government sanctioned killers because they can not only tax the shit out of them but ensure people buy more at the cost of young lungs and a once beautiful home now plagued with the smell of smoke and ash. You sound like you’ve never had a great grandmother who stopped smoking 30 years before her death who still got lung cancer and subsequently died. You sound like a Fucking ignoramus. Smoking isn’t Fucking cool, it isn’t fun to glorify, it’s disgusting and makes not only you but your children smell bad. Makes not only you but your children cough, get cancer, get sick.

experiencing Extreme Emotions about shane being a little bit nervous about getting edgy about sharing space with someone with no breaks at the cottage because he truly has NEVER done that before. like, sure, yeah, when he was a kid he shared a house with his parents, but they also 100% let him wander off and have alone time with no questions. and then at 18 he moved out and immediately started living alone. he shares rooms with hayden when they're on the road, but they both have an understanding that sometimes shane wanders off to be by himself or they both just sit in silence doing their own thing.
