“Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don’t kill their claims,” she quipped as her breathing started to level out. “Oh, are you studying law?” She looked a little bit closer, squinting at the face as she remembered a conversation from a month ago. “You wouldn’t happen to be related to Juno would you?”

“That is a good way of thinking of it, yes.” He didn’t have a claim but he could relate to exercising to release stress. “Yes, currently working toward my degree in law.” He gave a confused look t the woman’s actions. “I am related to her, she is my mother.”

Seb let out a small chuckle at the other man’s comment. “That’s understandable, feel free to sit as long as you would like.”

Aoife smiled softly as the young man spoke.  She knew most of what he was saying but chose not to interrupt.  “And now we have gone full circle with pockets and they are becoming very popular in claim dresses,” she added at the end with a chuckle.  “Fashions really do just go round in circles.”  Nodding at his comment she remarked, “You don’t believe in gendering anything or only fashion?”

Seb didn’t really know much about fashion outside of little things he read. He wasn’t really that fashionable of a person. His sister always refereed to his clothing style as nerdy. “Who would of thought clothing pockets would be such a interesting topic.” He had never talked so much about a simple feature of clothing. “I believe gender is a social construct. We should push those stereotypes onto people.”

Micaiai smiled softly at the younger dominant, “You know you can always bug me for a new novel. I have a few that need new homes.” He was a big believer in passing on a book when you’re done.

Seb closed the book in his lap. He already decided that he was done reading. “I might take you up on that. Once I have the time to read something that isn’t for my classes.” He had to somehow get through this current book for school. “I don’t get a lot of time to read things outside of law textbooks.”

Panting hard, Elle stopped at her usual bench, ready to collapse on it when she realized that there was no space. When the young man made some, she smiled gratefully and sank down. “Thanks for that! I always hate running until I remember how good I feel after it happens. Still, without this bench I don’t think I’d ever make it home. What are you reading?”

Seb gave a nod as the woman sat down. “It’s endorphins that are released when you run that make you feel good.” He stated, a small smile spreading across his face. “Nothing like a natural drug to keep you going.” He closed the book he was reading. “It’s nothing all that interesting. It’s about the law of obligation and contracts. I have to read it for my class.”

Seb: Consensually kidnapped?

lissy: if i go silent for a few days and your twin senses start tingling, please do not call the police.

Olivia smiled as she saw her cousin, giving Josie a nudge as she pointed him out and making the little girl grin, tugging Liv’s hand to get to him quicker. “We just wanted to say hi. Josie in particular. She didn’t see you last time Felicity babysat her.” she told him with a grin, moving to sit down and Josie barely waited five seconds before throwing her arms around his neck and hugging him.

A bright smile spread across his face as Josie hugged him. “I’m sorry I wasn’t there last time, kid.” He hugged the little girl back. He claimed her wasn’t a fan of children but that was a lie. “I’ve been so busy I’m hardly around. School has me so busy but I’m glad to see you two.” He stated, turning to his cousin next to him. “How have you been?”

Aoife located her phone and pulled it out, happily stopping the chirping noise as she gave a laugh at the man’s comment.  “That’s an excellent theory.  I’ve never really thought about it just now but you are right.  I hardly ever have pockets, except on my coat and even those would barely hold anything.”  She ran her eyes over him for a second before smiling, “I suppose that would also account for the growing trend in man bags.  Have you ever indulged in that fashion?”

Seb gave a small nod of his head at the woman’s words. “I read somewhere that women’s pockets disappeared for awhile. They returned when women began sewing them into their skits during the women’s suffrage era. Since then they have only gotten smaller and smaller. It’s as if the fashion companies are going backward.” He stated, the random knowledge he had sometimes became useful. “I haven’t indulged in the word of man bags. I wouldn’t be against it since  I don’t believe clothing should be gendered.”

“I will have to go and visit her. Make sure she hasn’t terrorized too many people,” she added, with a small smile, an attempt to lighten the mood. “I suppose I didn’t give much of a choice in that break, hmm? I promise I will not stay long. But, since I am here, how are your studies, Sebastian? Going well?”

“I’m going to try my best but no promises.” Seb could at least calm his mother down. She would at least listen to him. Hopefully that would be enough to get her to let the staff do their job. “Stay as long as you would like, your grace. My studies have been going very well. I am on schedule to graduate and take the bar exam by early next year.”

Juno sighed softly, smiling as her hand as taken, her fingers closing around his large palm. “I don’t want you running yourself ragged, Sebastian” she sighed softly, yet she couldn’t help but give him a doting gaze “I’ll be fine, my neck is just a little stiff and I have some rather sharp pain in my collarbone, though I believe that has been pushed back into place rather nicely, plus I can’t deny the use of a good pain medication when it’s needed” she mused. 

Seb took a seat in the chair next to the bed. “I’ll be fine, if anything I’ll use this as a break from my studies.” He was already a week ahead in most of his classes. Taking the time off to spend with his mother would be nice. “Plus, someone has to make sure you are nice to the hospital staff.” He playfully gave his mother a stern look before smiling again. 

“Oh come on, please tell me you are joking as that sounds like the exact opposite of a fun time” she grinned, wrinkling her pierced nose. “Not a style you’d go for then? I like to shock and amaze” she mused, sitting down beside him “Do you know of anything fun to do in this city? I’m new and very very bored” The Goth sighed out.

“I am joking, this stuff is beyond boring.” He stated, slamming the book closed. “No, my look is what my sister would call ‘boring nerd’.” He remember his sister referring to his clothes as such before. “I can ask my sister, she knows more about fun things to do around the city.”

“Thank you sweetheart.  I just needed to check my phone.  It keeps bleeping at me and it’s somewhere in my purse.”  Sitting down Aoife pulled her purse onto her lap and began to rummage around.  “Why do I have so many pockets in this one?” she mused out loud.

“Oh alright, “ Seb watched as the woman went searching for her phone. A small chuckle left his lips at her words. “I think it’s the make up for the lack of pockets on women’s pants. More pockets in a purse the less you need on your clothing.”

Kat looked over at the young man with surprise. “An accident? What kind of accident?” she asked calmly. If Juno had been in a serious accident, certainly she would know by now. Or at least she better. “Hardly surprising that she is not the best patient.” She would have to visit and find out for herself. “I imagine you have much on your mind? Is that why you are finding studying hard? I can’t imagine a break would do you any harm.”

“She was in a car accident shortly after the storm cleared.” Seb began to explain, closing his book in his lap. “Her car swerved and hit a tree. My mother’s fine just a dislocated collar bone. The worst part to her isn’t the injury but being stuck in the hospital.” He had plans to head back to the hospital to visit her. After he got a bit of studying in. However, it didn’t seem like he’d be getting any at all done. “I believe you are right. A break seem to be the best right now.”

Mic shook his head, “No worries– I understand the new to spread out and enjoy the day.” He sat down, recognizing the dominant from his own family. Mic liked to check in with his family and see if there was anything they needed. “It is a lovely day to read out in the park.”

Seb gave the other man a nod as he sat down. He still had his book open in his lap. He didn’t really care to keep reading anymore. “If I had something more interesting to read I’d be enjoy the day more.”
