damn-it-dom-hummel:
The Dark Knight isnāt so great that it goes without saying.
Seriously. The soundtrack is two notes, dude. They just change the tempo and pitch a little, but thatās the guy who composed shit for fucking Pirates of the Caribbean and heās better than that. But he couldnāt get inspired by any of the pretentious ass characters to string more than two God damn notes together.
Instantly and successfully like fuck. His first confrontation with every villain ends in a loss and we suffer through forty minutes of talking about it. If heās so fucking noble and strategic, why doesnāt he, yaā know,Ā help investigate criminals before they become supervillains? Buy Batmobiles and armor for the police? Build better asylums and shit?
Heās a dick on a power trip.
Thor is a prince and a god, but more importantly he becomes a champion for his people.
I think youāre highly mistaken.
Itās called minimalism. Itās a movement with the development of music over time. Sometimes and definitely in this case, less is more. Itās a dark film. It doesnāt need fancy, disney music thrown over the top of it. The acting itself is enough to hold it without slathering it all in thick, problematic music for every scene.
Why doesnāt Thor spend less time with his head up his ass and more time giving a damn about someone else than him? His self entitlement for the throne is cringe worthy and his arrogance and self worth is far more than anything Bruce Wayne does.Thor is a Grade B hero at best. Heās meh.Ā
Not bad. Not great. Good for a one liner. Which is why both of his first movies flopped.... until they brought in the big green guy and he made Ragnarok a hit.
