Well, when you put it like that, I can’t really argue. 

I like the first idea! Paris. But with the stipulation that we spend a day or two at Disney and a day shopping. We can be naked the rest of the time and I promise to lavish you with all the attention you need. 

Paris it is. Disney even without the kids?  Didn’t we just go with them?

Hah well, the growing COULD have something to do with the food we’re feeding him, maybe the milk he’s drinking? And the stretching machine I put him on when Daddy’s not looking. If you make it back for Peanut’s show is entirely up to you.  Balancing school and life is your thing now Princess. It was insane when I first started college, but I know you’ll find your way. He would like seeing you there but it won’t kill him if you’re not, he’s gotten used to the idea of you having to do your own thing in college now. The performance isn’t until March 15. I’m now having flashbacks of you in your 4th grade Aladdin school play. Earbleedingly headache but you looked adorable.

Don’t you even recognize her? Laura WIlliams, from down the block. You used to babysit her little sister Sara. She had brown hair back then, wore overalls all the time? She’s 13 going on 22 now. She never gave Peanut a second look until last month, maybe that last growth spurt had something to do with it. They’re in the school play together, Beauty and the Beast. He’s going to steal the show as Gaston and she’s Mrs. Potts. He’s already plotting how he’s going to break her up from her boyfriend, hah.

Again, you say that like you never get naked attention. It’s not like the scratching at the door has ever stopped us. 

And you talk as if there is a point in which one has enough naked attention or enough attention from you, period. Is it criminal for me to want you all to myself?

Seriously, though. Maybe we should book a little getaway from when Diya goes back to school. Paris, Venice? We can get Sam and those kiddos come feed and walk the mongrels. 

Or maybe something beachy. It’s summer in Australia. We can get golden brown and I’ll give you so much naked attention that you’ll think you’ve died and gone to heaven (or Oz, if you prefer).
