i can't help but think about the amount of sympathy given to the tme characters. like. were this show written by someone else, and several transfem characters engaged in misogynistic behavior against a cis woman or tme trans person, which unbeknownst to them made that character want to commit suicide, would they have been afforded the same grace? certainly not by the viewers. the bit in an earlier episode about gangle not having an evil clone implying she's already evil was really funny (interesting how that was the same episode in which gangle forced jax into a dress with support from zooble and ragatha which is sooooooo funny bc jax is a straight guy right) but gangle is still given room by the narrative to grow beyond that. the cis women and tme nonbinary person who participated in such transmisogyny are still treated as complex human beings who aren't evil for their actions, and are the ones who have the ability to continue living their lives in the digital circus with newfound bodily autonomy. like. idk that shit kinda hurted.

the abstractions being treated like memory care patients did make me cry
