itโs never been hard for sorun to find somethingย they like about someone and compliment them on it. someoneโs smile, their laugh, the way they do something, their outfit, anything! whatโs (typically) most rewarding is that personโs reaction. it makes them feel good when it was enough to make that person smile or blush. blushes especially made sorun feel good. such a reaction often made them flirty. but with lou, it only makes them surprised. to be fair, theyโve never seen someoneโs skin turn such a pretty blue like this! they will apologize for being so rude, but they just canโt help but stare. they feel neither disgust nor horror, rather fascination and maybe even a little bit in awe. itโs just so beautiful! oh, but lou is altogether beautiful. sorun thought that on the day they met even though she was soaked to the bone with rainwater and her clothes dirty. but thisโฆ theyโve never seen this from her before! itโs hard not to stare and they promise they mean no harm by it.
their gaze finally lowers as their hands rest in their lap. the entire exchange leaves a strange feeling in the pit of their stomach, one that makes them chew the inside of their cheek. they worry they scared her away by reaching out to trace the peculiar blush upon her cheeks without even asking if it was okay to touch her. it was an innocent enough gesture, but perhaps they overstepped some boundaries. even their compliment was innocent. at leastโฆ it was, right? of course it was. she laughed at a stupid joke they shared with her and the sound was like music to their ears, so sorun couldnโt help themself and told her they thought her laugh was beautiful. anyone would think such a thing! but they wonder if her laugh would make anyone elseโs heart flutter the way it made theirs flutter. for a moment, it felt as though butterflies were in their chest when she laughed andโฆ and they liked that feeling. they want more but now a feeling of awkwardness has settled between the two.
louโs hand guiding theirs back to her cheek causes their heart not to flutter this time, but to race. it racesย when their palm and fingers come in contact with her skin and they notice how muchย hotterย it feels this time.ย ย ย โ iโฆ i worried i crossed a boundary.ย โย ย the demon whispers, their thumb gently tracing over her cheek and the spots that seemed to have brightened over the span of only a few minutes. they exhale slowly, a feeling of yearning filling their heart as their hand remains there upon louโs cheek.ย ย ย โ admittedly, i do find it strange, but it is a good strange, if that makes sense. i like it.ย โย ย a small laugh spills from sorunโs lips and then they look down at her. their free hand finds a place under her chin, tilting up her head to look at them.ย ย ย โ did you?โย ย their voice stays a whisper, hues of gold searching into lilac; the yearning in their heart grows as they look at her and seems to overflow. a fire is ignited in them as they speak again.ย ย ย โ i could touch you more, lou. if that is what you wish.ย โ
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย LILAC OF EYES seemed mellow; soft as they looked at them; a smile getting lost on pink lips as she felt it. that warmth. it reassured her; this was fine. was she weird for liking that sensation ? she wouldnโt know exactly. but their fingertips had burned themselves into the memory of her flesh; UNFORGOTTEN feeling; oh, how dare you make her heart ache for more? but it was enough right now. in this moment; it was enough. nevertheless, it didnโt mean that it would be enough forever.ย โNo...โ eyes fluttered close, forming feathery crescents as she held onto their hand, intertwining fingers; almost caging them in her warm hand. lou felt herself getting lost, weighing into her hand; almost like a touch-starved animal. & seemingly; such a description would quite fit her.ย โNo, you didnโt cross a boundary....It was just surprising.โ voice seemed to match theirs; staying quiet. staying put. almost, as if she was muttering those words for her own ears exclusively but she KNEW that sorun would hear them. the world around them just seemed to stop; nothing had been interfering.ย ย โYeah...that makes sense. thank you...โ
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย IN AN INSTANT would lenses widen in a pool of white; she blinked softly at them, perceiving the physical contact in some sort of slow-motion. was it her heart or brain, unable to process ? lips were pressed into a thin line; gulping down that pool of saliva that had been accumulating for some unknown reason. maybe that reason was her being nervous ?ย โI....โ it was hard to form coherent sentences, let alone let her voice be stable & not waver while she had her eyes locked with theirs. oh, she could have gotten lost in them, right there.ย โ I did like that...yes.ย โ sheโd nod, constantly averting their pupils from meeting sorunโs; not because she didnโt like them ! guardians forbid. no, it was the intensity of the situation; it made her feel like a deer struck in the headlights. oh, she felt that blush becoming hotter.ย โIโd like that...โ right hand which had been hanging at her side would suddenly come forth, leaving one or two fingers to trace against their clothing. an invisible pull for them to come closer.ย
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย NOW; IT WAS the ground that had kept attention; fingers playing with the hem of their shirt.ย โwould you like to...grab a coffee or something ?โ a good excuse to keep them at her side for a little bit longer, wasnโt it ? her caffeine addiction was well known; most people had she met a nearby cafe.therefore, it wasnโt something weird. she wasnโt being weird, right ?ย โ& maybe...afterwards...we could watch a movie at my place ?โ a pause; lilac lenses finally trailing to their golden kind.ย โi meant..my hotel room.โ nervous chuckle spilled from her lips; that damned turquoise not seeming to cease.ย
