“Never know til I try.” Cassim responded, mirroring Magnus’ actions with his own drink.

“…No.” Cassim shook his head, smile growing brighter at the other boy’s laugh. “Just going to out drink you so I can prove I can hold my liquor.”

“Well then,” Cassim began, staring his- date? were they on a date? was magnus his date? - dead in the eye. “-Challenge accepted!”

“Is that a challenge, M?” Cassim replied, brow arching in askance. “Or are you just being a negative nancy?”

“You mean the people of Auradon. Not me. I’m no lightweight.” He corrected, leaning over to grab his own cup of punch.

“Think of it this way: by the time this whole ball is ‘sposed to become boring, we’ll be getting entertained by the other drunk students stumbling around.” Cassim replies, dopey grin on his face as he explains his reasoning.

Cassim chuckled at the other boy’s actions. “Good, because I was worried for a moment that no one had thought of it.”
