Mitsuru sighs in long-suffering, albeit familiar, exasperation. Of course he will. It's a common theme between Shinjiro and Akihiko, both reckless in their own ways, except Akihiko tends to listen when Mitsuru tries to be the voice of reason, even if he struggles. They're three points on a scale of restraint, with Mitsuru and Shinji being on opposite ends.
"Je n'arrive pas ร te croire, can you at least listen to what I have to say before throwing yourself headlong into danger?" Perhaps that's asking too much of him, especially when they're all teetering on the edges of anger, frustration, pain. She doesn't blame him...she is simply tired of seeing those she loves being hurt.
My sister gave me her old smart watch, and I can't use the cool apps like facer for a rad watch face, so I just set a wallpaper and I feel cooler now ๐

Strohl smiles faintly. "Then lets be selfish together."
At least he is not alone in feeling this way. It's true that he barely knew Grius, and when first they met the rhoag had been nothing but suspicious of him, but in time he had earned his respect. It had felt good to earn it rather than be handed something simply because of his lineage. Yet he still had so many feelings knotted up inside himself. About Grius, about poor Maria, about his home, and all that laid before them to do. It would be difficult to follow Grius's legacy but they had all vowed to do so.
He stood and accompanied Victor out the door. "I'm not sure," he replied. The downstairs was much quieter now and even innkeepers needed sleep. "If so, we could always take a walk instead."
Victor doesn't quite know what to do with his hands as the two walk carefully past Maria's room and downstairs together. Something about the loss of someone who he had started to feel close to has made him hyper aware of his own person, his own being, his every limb and how fragile life really is. Part of him thinks to curl his hand around Strohl's arm, if only for the grounding support that another person can offer.
He doesn't, though. He doesn't. Instead, he tucks his hands into his pockets and treads carefully down the steps and into the main room. Not even the informant or the musician are still here. It feels...too big in its emptiness.
"Fabienne makes better drinks than I do," he says as if that wasn't obvious, but he steps behind the counter and glances at all of the cups and bottles she has lining the shelves down below. He sets two large ones on the counter for them, then crouches down to read the labels. "Is there a kind you prefer?" He'll just have whatever Strohl has.

"It's not selfish," he says with a soft shake of his head, small, albeit sad, smile on his lips. In truth, he had hoped Strohl would say that he wanted to go, too, so Victor doesn't have to be alone, either. Maybe he'd hardly known Grius, but the man had been the right sort of kind to him; stern but caring. It had felt comfortable, being accepted without question, without thought. Grius helped Victor realize his purpose in a way he hadn't been able to beforehand. He has his mission, but now he has better ways to make it happen.
His gaze shifts, downcast. Do not cry. "I don't want to be alone, either. Unless that makes me, selfish, too." He manages a quiet laugh. If it's selfish, then so be it.
Victor stands from the bed and adjusts his shirt; it had become untucked and messy in his restless attempts at sleep. Looks and clothing feel so mundane in the throes of grief, but it also grounds him in a way he can't explain. "I wonder if Fabienne is still awake." He glances at Strohl, waiting for him to join him so they can go downstairs together.

Akihiko / Mitsuru is so good. They've been friends for so long, they understand each other in ways so few can (Shinji can also be in this otp, RIP my emotions). Between them exists tragedy, understanding, and levity they know how to read when the other needs. I think they'd find comfort in the weight of each other's comfort. I will never not be compromised over them TT___TT
NoTPs? Hmm...I don't think I really have one. I guess not with Ken? xD But I haven't thought of one that genuinely makes me say 'No :|' with the vehemence of being a NoTP.
