Creek week from TBGO isn't as terrible an episode as people make out tbh and its weird to me that this is the trolls second chance that gets the most hate.
This episode is almost universally dunked on for the characters giving Creek another chance and not siding with Branch over his reluctance to accept him back in the Village but tbh I feel like people are just being unfair,
The Pop Trolls are literally a peaceful tribe that believes in empathy and second chances and well Creek is kinda the bare minimum of that notion imo as he's someone who literally only hurt them
because he found himself in the most extreme situation someone can possibly find themselves in where his only choices were to either betray them
or die horrifically which is not really a fair choice to have thrust onto a normal everyday person at all,
so while I don't agree with unconditional forgiveness or anything I do feel like if you don't believe this guy warrants a second chance then you just can't really believe in them at all otherwise its just hypocritical,
I feel like it would be more valid to have issues with Barb's second chance in world tour or Crimps second chance in band together and even Bro zone's second chance than it is Creeks
given they all did bad things of their own free will where they could have comfortably lived without doing them and unlike Creek they did them repeatedly
( Creek only had one negative action in the movie )
and in Barbs case she didn't even choose to do the right thing in the end she just got defeated and then let off the Hook yet Creek's second chance is the one most people have an issue with and not hers?
I feel like the issue is a lot of people just focus on Creek not being a likable person and don't actually focus on his circumstances and motive same with these other characters who were given second chances as well despite doing wrong,
and really what exactly is it people want from the pop tribe? should they punish him? what would be the point? he literally spent most of the first movie suffering so that would just be sadistic,
should they not let him back in? well that would literally go against their tribes way of empathy and understanding,
Idk I feel like of all the second chances that were given in the Trolls franchise Creek's is honestly the one that is the most understandable given his circumstances where he was mostly a victim himself
and had no real free will in the situation compared to other characters who may be more conventionally likable
but did have a choice in the repeated bad things they did and probably do deserve more flack for their second chances that were handed to them.
