she gather me, man

the pieces I am, she gather them

and give them back to me in all the right order

trees were so rare in that country 

and they had to make such a hard fight to grow

that we used to feel anxious about them 

and visit them as if they were persons

when you've suffered a great deal in life 

each additional pain 

is both unbearable and trifling

you might think I lost all hope at that point 

I did

and as a result I perked up and felt much better

I composed a beautiful letter to you 

in the sleepless nightmare hours of the night and 

it has all gone.

I just miss you

in a quite simple desperate human way
