But none are quite like the Alfira. Alfira are a small people standing 3-4 feet tall, walking both bi and quadrupedally and are best known for their innovations in smoke magic and agricultural techniques. it’s weird if fat people don’t exist in your art
i want to say that this isn’t an attempt to guilt you into learning. i don’t want you to disingenuously draw fat bodies because i made you feel bullied, or because you want some sort of online clout. i’m tired of begging other artists to do something they obviously don’t want to do, so i’m not begging. i’m stating what i think of you and your work. no matter your skill, no matter your presence: it’s weird if fat people don’t exist in your art
i am so so gently asking abled storytellers to try this little exercise: consider that maybe the main character doesn't miraculously get through traumatic event number 8277 with minor injuries. maybe they don't make a full, narratively-convenient recovery. there are tangible, long-term effects on their health. they are disabled. there are lots of ways to be disabled, and you can pick whatever makes the most sense. the point is that because they're the main character, they have to stay at the heart of the narrative. what happens to your story after that? just for the sake of this exercise, you're not allowed to have them spiral into helpless depression, or collapse under self-loathing, or turn their story into a quest for a cure or an uplifting recovery narrative. think it through instead. how can you tell this story with the character's disability? what needs to change? are there any reasons why these changes can't happen?
at the end of it, you might change nothing. but I think this is worth doing, because sometimes you'll find that the reason you didn't want your character to have a limp, or lose a limb or sense, or have some kind of SFF-appropriate fantasy disability is because of internalised biases. those are worth challenging & i truly believe that creators miss out on richer stories when they view disability either as a fate worse than death or as nothing more than a catalyst for tragedy.
i talk about transitioning and all anyone ever says is "I hope you don't regret it" what if instead we said I hope you love it. I hope it's everything you ever wanted. I hope you live the rest of your life in utter bliss. etc etc.
I hope you transition and I hope it's the best thing you ever did and I hope you never look back and I hope you finally feel comfortable in your own skin

Feminism is so in its infancy compared to the misogyny. The misogyny is thousands of years old, but feminism is a hundred years old. We are trying to undo, and we're trying to unpick, embedded structures in society of women being inferior and seen as crazy that have been dominant for millennia.

like. Be so for real . Why did misogyny exist for thousands of years as a globalized social force? Men benefit astronomically from misogyny. Under a misogynist society men have privilege, socially-tied life servants to cater to their whim that they can beat legally when they're mad. Misogyny strictly and specifically benefits men. Why wouldn't young stupid men want that. It takes incredible mental fortitude, strength of soul, and utter unselfishness to resist a mode of thinking that tells you "actually you're the pinnacle of your society and everyone should listen to you and cater to you and suck your dick whenever you want". It's fucking incredible that any men are feminists. Any infinitesimal harm that men are dealt under patriarchy is entirely outweighed by its material benefits to their specific gender.
Can men be feminists? Yes. But I'm urging you to think about how easy it is for men under patriarchy. And how individualistic and selfish American society is. It will never be the easier or safer choice for men to be feminists. It will never be "in their best interests"

Apparently, SCP-035 and SCP-049 had a bit of a fight? Most likely, the mask became very bored, and he decided to contact the Doctor with one very interesting and tempting offer. And Doc himself, apparently, was not particularly eager to do this, and seeing that 035 was in no hurry to leave him alone.. He decided to fight back... 😶
But, it was just an idea for an art work, guys! (^▽^;)/
