Artemis stood up and followed him nodding as he talked.  “Ok I see...Sweet moonshine that has to be something.” She mumbled a bit before looking at him with a smile.  “Well then, Bottoms up, Tim.” She said raising an eyebrow at him. “Should I be concern about you having a such a hard drink like that?”

“Hmm...Good question. Not sure I have answer. Maybe getting every good and bad horror movie together and binge watching them all with good food that’s not rabbit. No offense your cooking is good but...I miss the joys of that life.” Artemis siad smiling.  She looked at him and that the empty bottle. “Well shit.” She said drowning the rest of her drink.  Artemis eyed the clear liquid before looking up at him. “If I didn’t know what Moonshine was I would be a bad bartender, now won’t I? Now Have I drank it...no never.”

“That’s very true. Someone like you huh? Sounds like a deep rooted issue there. Yeah I would say you’re hot, because you’re good looking. But someone like you changes things…guess what we are in a new era of hell, so whoever you were before this doesn’t really matter now does it? Personally I think you would’ve been someone I would’ve been friends with before the flares. But that’s just me.” She said taking a sip of her drink, letting the alcohol burn her throat a bit.  “I would’ve say I miss it. I miss my family and friends…but I don’t miss how my life was. I never really got to live outside of home and work. I mean I dated and had friends….but it was never really enough. I wanted more, always wanted more out of that life.” 

Artemis want to snort at this but he was right in a way. She was free to do what she wanted even if it wasn’t the way she wanted it happen. “Right. I mean…It’s not really living but living…Oh my god my brain can’t function without sounding like a cynical bitch. So Yes. I’m free, just not how I wanted to be free.” She said agreeing with him and looking at him.  “I believe it is my good sir. Hmm, What is something you really want to do, right now? If you could I mean do it without worries?” She said looking at him. She was trying to make it easy. 

“Well I don’t know how to answer that exactly. Because I’ve had enough to drink that I have an idea. But I haven’t had enough to drink to actually say it. So I guess for now, if I were to pick something that I could do right now Id say light a bunch of fireworks. It’s been too long since I’ve gotten to watch fireworks. Growing up I always loved the Fourth of July”

“Oh interesting, mental note for later to get you more drunk to see if you’re say it.” Artemis smirked at him before taking a sip of her drink.  “Fireworks, uh? Maybe on my next run I’ll see if I can find some. Souvenir and all. But that’s sounds like a pretty fun thing to do. I’m Canadian by birth, though I have citizenship in America, so I guess New Years was my big thing growing up with fireworks.” Artemis said smiling fondly at old memories.  “I mean...that’s good one. Fireworks are good and bright and I’m not articulate I’m sorry.”

Artemis gave him a look before snorting.  “Well clearly you don’t see the appeal of your body. Well then again if it was two straight males that saw you half make probably was a sucky show.” She said truthfully before taking another swing of her drink. “And on that note I believe it is your turn good sir.” 

Artemis looked at him with a raised eyebrow. “seriously? Come on you can’t say you’re not hot in some way? Huge appeal to some girls and guys here. Though I won’t know I don’t really pay attention nor have I known him.” She explained filling up her glass again. “Oh that’a deep one....sadly it will be a very boring answer for you. I would still be living in my small apartment with my mother and brother...barely making ends meet. But everyone I know would still be alive, I still be a bartender and single...but everyone would be here. So boring, the same. Though, I know that my brother would go off to college in two years and maybe I would finally be free to do stupid shit and travel.” She said.

Artemis snorted and laughed she covered her mouth. “Was that you’re first time? If so that’s horrible oh shit. Well I guess it’s true you’re first time is never as romantic as the movies. Messy and weird.” She said smiling and sipping her drink. “That’s I’m sorry that’s funny. Two homeless people got a great show that night, probably not their first though.” She teased lightly looking at him and smiling.

Artemis was going to say something about him and drinking but held her tongue and took a sip of her drink.  “That’s horrible dude. I say sorry but, what good does it do. At least in the end she’s not suck here on hell on earth.” Artemis said thinking about it. She was very serious in her words. His mother and her father lucked out of this nightmare.  “That’s good you had your grandfather come in and save the day a bit. So what next do you want to know about me?” She asked leaning back and looking at him. 

Artemis nearly dropped her glass from laughing.  “Oh fuck…I don’t even know…Hmm..” She thought for a moment about this.  “Ok, I got it. This is the first one that really sticks out because it was my first late night as a bartender like working all the way to closing time. So A couple walks in it’s all normal whatever. Until I start hearing noises coming from them. I look at the them as I was giving them there drinks, they were making out but nothing new…But it turned out the was having sex at the bar. The  couple got kicked out for having sex in a bar, clearly, but  while the husband was still inside.”  Artemis said telling Tim this story. 

Artemis laughed and shook her head.  “No you misunderstood, her guy was still inside her. Like They were thrown out as one still attached. Like they gave no fucks...well some fucks.” She said laughing at the story.

Uh, I was a bartender from freshman year until the first flare. Um, I have a little brother and a mom. Dad died when I was 14. I have a degree in philosophy. I worked really hard to make sure my little brother didn’t grow up working all the time like I did. It was uh pretty boring, minus the parts where I had a life. What would you else would you like to know, specifically? Fuck, what about you? 

There’s not a whole lot to know. But what’re you wanting to find out?

Hmm...There is so many things I can ask. But I’ll start easy, then when I’m little drunker, I ask the really hard ones. Alcohol brings out the truth. So What about School...? Your Childhood? Even with me so we start out on level playgrounds.
