Said it before and Iโll say it again, ppl who arenโt rich straight able bodied white men that vote Republican will shoot themselves in the foot if it means they can get they favorite flavor of bigotry upheld.
These people voted for Trump/the GOP because they were promised their bigotry would be protected. The only hard part about finding out why they voted the way they did is finding out which ones knew they would be fucked over and still said โOh well I hate those {insert oppressed group} moreโ and which ones genuinely thought that the GOP wouldnโt fuck them over while they fucked over oppressed groups
