ofaccios // ginny weasley.
there had to be something poetic over the fact of another wizarding war at bay. how both forces of the world were morally grey now. the shared confusion of magic so powerful had been cast right under their noses. friends she hadn’t seen since hogwarts were now within her vacinity. enemies that hadn’t spared her single thought since the last war. it was a lot for ginny to take in & she prided in not letting her emotions get the best of her but she was different now. she was matured. despite her looking decades younger than she was, she was a mother now. a deep inhale & closing of her eyes was enough to ease away the worry that began to outweigh her pride.
her eyes had shot open a moment later & she let out a gasp at the sight of someone before her now. she held her hand to her heart & swallowed a breath, her eyes finally taking in the figure before her. ‘ it’s just you. you gave me a fright, you know ? ’ there was a soft touch to her voice before her eyes then widened, blinking a few times to get a grip of reality. ‘ wait— is it really you ? ’
walking around diagon alley, fred noticed that not much had changed about the place ... and if it did, he didn’t remember the fine details of it all. blue eyes searched the buildings to fall upon the familiar font of ollivander’s shop, looking into the window at the display of wands and probably hadn’t changed in, well, since the beginning of time since ollivander was obviously immortal. obviously. a voice came from behind him that pulled him from the deep thoughts he didn’t realize he was having about the old wand maker. he turned to glance quickly, wondering if the person was talking to him. the motion led him into doing double and triple takes before he finally saw ginny standing in front of him. ❝ ginny? ❞
he turned toward her and closed the distance between them to wrap her in a tight hug. he hadn’t been back for long but he hadn’t expected to run into a family member so quickly. she looked as if she hadn’t aged a single day since he had last remembered seeing her. he pulled away from her, a hand moving to cup her cheek for a moment. ❝ i never thought i’d say this, but i’m glad to see you, ginny. ❞ the hint of a playful tone teasing his words. ❝ what happened? ❞
