he wasn't at all surprised when she didn't fire another bolt at him, a hum falling past his lips before he shuffled closer, handing it to her. he tilted his head at her words, shaking his head. ❝ no, i'm not a werewolf. i'm something quite a bit stronger than a werewolf. ❞ he stated. ❝ and no, i'm not. i just look it to fit in more. ❞

"Stupid jerk," Sam grumbled. They still weren't even sure what this thing was. Spirit? Ancient deity? Some kind of demon? All he had was the demon-killing knife and a flask full of holy water. . . And his psychic powers, but he was rusty, and he didn't even know if those would work on it. Still. Anything had to be better than running, right? So Sam stopped. He turned to face the thing stalking him. And he waited.

he watched her and once he heard that familiar twang, his reflexes were quick. his hand shooting out and fingers curled around the shaft of the bolt to stop it from harming him; he hadn't even leaned to the side as if to dodge it. though, his grip was tight on it but not too tight to break it. not yet, at least. ❝ keep it going. ❞ he stated, tossing the bolt to the side without a second thought.

"'What, you need me to hold your hand on this one, Sammy?'," Sam said in a mocking tone, imitating Dean. "'Can't handle a little urban legend on your own?' Not like we face legends and myths every freakin' day, or anything. . ." He glanced over his shoulder and picked up his pace. "I'm gonna kill him."

he continued after him, not picking up the pace but also not slowing down. he just kept on without pause. there was nothing and no one that would stand in his way --- some have tried, but they have all failed. perhaps this one would be the next one to fail.
