Yes, I did become inactive (evidently). However, I wouldn’t call it “leaving,” because describing it as such on Tumblr appears permanent and I’m not sure if I can commit to that just yet.
Am I ever coming back? Well, anon, let me introduce you to Tumblr: a picture perfect online community which frequently fails to reach expectations.
Gradually, I drifted away from Tumblr, because sometimes it can seem as though you are constantly giving, trying to appease an audience and it is never enough. It can be validation based on numbers (likes and reblogs). Truthfully, I lost interest. It’s a bit like losing an old friend; you never really know how you grew apart, there are no hard feelings, all you know is that you lost touch. Your life goes on.
Life happened. I got a job, working hours 8:00 - 16:30. I befriended a colleague, before he made me his girlfriend. We’ve been together for almost 4 months. Life is busy, and I’m still tired a lot of the time, but above all, I would say I’m in a good place.
Perhaps I’ll jump back online at some point, but for now, I’m happy spending most of my time offline. I hope life is treating you well and that the same goes for you.
