“They are. Though, I don’t know about mine. This is the first time I am making them.”

“they sound interesting. what do i have to give you in exchange for one of them?”

“I thought I would try my hand at this baking thing. Would you like to try a cupcake when they are done?”

“what exactly is a cupcake? that’s an edible thing, right?”

+ ✧ · ˚ . Tapping her long polished noir nails against the wooden table, her hazel orbits scanned her surroundings by detail. Cheap alcohol scent, sweaty teenagers dancing the night away and couples making out at every corner. A light scoff escaped her liquor lips as she took another sip of her drink– this time a long, satisfying one before she felt an unknown presence behind her. Turning around, Madison faced the mysterious figure. “ Whatever you want, I’m not interested. So fuck off already.” 

rey wasn’t sure how she ended up in a building like that, but quickly she realized she was definitely in the wrong place. it was loud and crowded and...weird. nothing like what she knew. she just wanted to ask someone about what the place was, but she was quickly taken aback by how the girl she approached spoke to her. “i ---- just wanted to know what this place is. no need to be rude about it, i didn’t even do anything.”

              “ if there is a world outside of verona walls, and there seems to be, i suppose i should know more about the place i am to permanently reside. tell me, where are the best places to go? ”

“When I was younger I used to fantasize about visiting New York City, or really anywhere in the states as unlikely as it seemed. My father rarely let me leave the house, let alone go to a whole another country. He was worried about my … health issues interfering with day-to-day life.”

“well, that’s nice of you. i mean, you’re probably still judging me but inside your head, which is fine; it’s not like i can get mad for something you think since i can’t like read your mind or anything.”

“no, a motorcycle is not a ship and if you think that then you clearly need a education on this planet because where you’re from is not even the slightest bit familiar.”

“it felt real, you know? like i was actually there and it was actually happening.” she shuddered and sighed, “it was creepy and now i’ve got this chill going down my back that i cannot get rid of.”

“it’s one drink, jeez, it’s not like it’s gonna do any damage.”

“no, it doesn’t fly, what kind of planet are you even from? no motorcycle actually flies here.”

          “this place is lovely yet — i find myself missing my own galaxy. very thankful to be ALIVE of course, but at least there’s no WORRYING in death.”

zoe took a deep breath and tried to calm herself down even though her nerves were still high. “i’m, i’m sorry…i didn’t mean to, i guess.” she let out a big sigh, shuddering  lightly, “s-something happened…i don’t really know what exactly but it wasn’t good.”

Hermione just lightly smiled at the other girl. She was good at puzzles. No she loved puzzles. Finishing a puzzle or an equation was really a weakness of hers. “Violence is mostly never the appropriate solution. Take a few steps back and think of what needs to be done. It’s just a door, even in the most extreme cases.” She spoke evenly. Why were people often so rough with doors? “"Do you need my help?” 

57. Failed hug.

   the question made him feel somewhat reassured. there were people here that knew less than him – and that was okay. gumball smiled lightly. “ they’re cookies ! you know, the sweets. they have nice little chocolate candies inside … if you don’t like it i can always make something else for you ? ”

   this was it. his plan to make new friends in this new world was a go and he was so sure things were going to go fine. the harsh blush covering his cheeks couldn’t be helped. “ uh, ” he started. prince gumball suddenly pushed the tray of ( slightly burnt due to his nervousness ) cookies to the next stranger he saw pass by the apartments. “ please take one ! ”

this was the biggest nightmare in the history of nightmares, this was like the king of all nightmares. zoe can’t remember all of what’s happened, there were flashing images popping up in her mind; waking up in a box, the water rushing in, screaming for help.

stop it…stop it!

zoe didn’t want to remember, she didn’t want to have that terrified feeling in her gut anymore. she wanted to feel safe, she wanted to not be afraid…she wanted to wake up. zoe felt like she was floating, not in control of her body, screaming at herself to just wake up

wake up, wake up, w a k e  u p!

zoe jerked awake, coughing and gasping for air and before she knew it, tears were streaming down her face. the terror she felt when she was kidnapped then buried alive was as present now as if it was happening all over again. her head hurt from trying to remember everything that happened but she stopped trying the more tears ran down her face. feeling a slight touch on her shoulder, zoe jumped from the sudden touch and screamed.

the girl laying on the ground really didn’t seem okay, and rey had just wanted to maybe see if she could help in any way, crouching down before the other and gently resting a hand on their shoulder. that is, of course, until they screamed, and rey quickly withdrew her hand, hoping she could try and console her. “shh, it’s okay, please don’t scream. i’m not here to hurt you.” she was trying her best to appear caring and gentle, but with her hardened desert-beaten features and overall small but strong stature, she was unsure if she would pose as a threat to the other. “i was just trying to calm you. are you okay?”
