Where more than is said is what God and I mean,

We meet, as a painter and paint that agrees

A motorcar's resonant waves go unseen

The streetlamp comes on, and it's time to go back

Damselfly wings played dissonant strings,

Euphoric, I was stoned, starry eyes

I reached into some distant night today,

My fingertips grazed someone's lips, face

Close shave, slight hips, bare olive skin

I swam into some cosmic blue today.

Dark, deep, I pulled away
