It's important to recognize that endogenics are not pushing for the demedicalization of CDDs and any claim of that is a strawman.
We want PLURALITY to not be seen as inherently a medical disorder. Not all pwCDDs identify as plural or fit under the general definition of plurality. Plurality is an identity — identifying as more than one person/mind/entity in the same brain. And there's good research validating this as a niche identity.
But CDDs are absolutely a mental illness/condition that deserves care, treatment if so desired, and medical recognition.
whenever someone calls me and says they're from my bank or car loan company or whatever and asks me security questions, I always tell them "excuse me, you called me, how can you prove who you are" and every single time they act like it's the first time anyone's ever asked that, which absolutely boggles my mind. for the love of fuck please do not answer "security questions" when you didn't initiate the call, at least without making them answer a few first
I agree, never give your info in a call you didn't initiate. Phone numbers can be spoofed. They may actually sound like your bank or credit card company.
If you receive a call, hang up and call back using the phone number on their website. Explain that you received a call about X and if it's legit, they'll be able to tell you so. They're also not usually going to get mad if you say "I'm going to hang up and call you back." Scams will though. Because you won't be calling THEM back, you'll be alerting the bank someone is committing fraud in their name. So they'll get urgent about it. Ignore them and hang up. Call back on an actual line.
yk what i hate though. is when i find a meme and im like THIS IS SO [cool intimidating mutual i never talk to] I SHOULD SEND IT TO THEM but then i remember ive never talked to them ever and so i cant just like give them a meme out of the blue and so the meme just withers and rots in my camera roll 😔

Advice given to children in regards to CSA is always "if someone does this, run away." And of course, that's good advice. But that shouldn't be where it ends.
I rarely ever see any discussion on what to do if running away isn't an option. Or if a child misses or even ignores those warning signs.
And then, from the point of view of the child, there's shame. Shame that you didn't run away, like you were told. Whether fleeing was possible or not, a child is left feeling like they failed.
When telling a child to run, make sure to also tell them that it isn't their fault if they can't/don't.
