If you’re already thinking about Much Ado... you could leverage adaptations for that.

Some people are going to learn more visually. Some people are gonna be lazy jackasses and head straight to The Movie (if not Wikipedia). It does change being heard/seen vs. being read, due to the format, y’know? (I’m sorry. I’m stupidly preaching to the choir here.)

But there have been two very well-received adaptations of Much Ado About Nothing lately, and while I’d never take you for the “here, watch this, I’m taking a nap now” type, it may help the rhythm, cadence, wordplay really click for someone. And given that one was a stage adaptation done with a modern-day styling with David Tennant and Catherine Tate, and the other a movie with Amy Acker, Nathan Fillion, and pretty much everybody Joss Whedon’s ever worked with pre-MCU... it may make someone grumbling about “this guy is so fucking dead, why do I have to take this class?” more of a willingness to check it out and have that “click”. And once you have that, you can ride that in for all it’s worth. 

Not saying you should assign movies (or in the Tennant/Tate version, downloads). It’s more of a “If you choose to look at adaptations of this, THESE ARE RECOMMENDED. They’re also completely optional. Still reading the plays themselves; still testing you on THAT. You can gain some insight from those extra materials, but not all.”

use sentence starters

read someone else’s writing

Okay but Steve could have lifted Mjolnir. He gripped the handle, and Mjolnir sensed that Steve was worthy and good. So it jolted. But I think Steve was suddenly like “OH GOD I DO NOT WANT TO BE THE GOD OF THUNDER AND WEAR A CAPE I’M CAPTAIN AMERICA” and Mjolnir felt this hesitation and stopped.

There are quite a few theories as to why it budges in the movie but doesn’t fully come up, but I like this best.
