aswell as the fact that her and gideon fusing assumptively took a while, which shouldn’t be the case if the soul is fully willing and wants to fuse (ianthe having to internally fight naberius and force him to comply means her process was slightly drawn out, i assume it’s the opposite if the cavalier actually wants it)

And this is all disregarding my grandest piece of evidence, harrow not wanting it. she didn’t want gideon to die, she didn’t want to pay the price of lyctor-hood, why would she then actively work against herself when she had the hope there would be a chance to save gideon? harrows unwavering characteristic is perseverance, even at severe personal cost, if she believed in a way to get gideon back she would stop at nothing until she found it
