*· ☆,.- “Yes….” He was surprised a little that Sally already knew about the hunters. But Colton would not question it. “I am one-hundred-and-thirty years old right now. And died almost exactly one-hundred years ago.”

“wow, i’ve never been into dating older men before but i think i’ll make an exception.” she joked trying to lighten the mood. 

“ i’m aaron. it’s nice to meet you. “ even if the circumstances weren’t. 

“nice to meet you aaron.” she put her hand out to shake.

“ good. “ the witch let out a breath and nodded her head. “ honestly? maybe he didn’t want anything with you. some people in this town just suck. “ and by some she meant a lot of them. 

“that’s... sad. but sounds accurate.”

“i saw you as a vessel.” ruby commented matter of factly, before shaking her head slightly. “that doesn’t make sense. people like you don’t just come back to life for no reason. when lilith possessed you were, like super dead. people don’t come back from that.”

better then meatsuit, sally supposed. “i don’t know what to tell you--i don’t know how i came back. though... what actually killed me was that hunter shooting me and that witch-whatever her name is, throwing my body around.” she crossed her arms hugging herself tightly. 

“sally.. huh. funny. i never really saw you as a sally.” ruby said, before she rolled her eyes and let go of sallys throat. “jesus, that wasn’t even me using all my strength.” she took a step back and folding her arms, and eyebrow raised. “so, what? you just– came back to life? out of nowhere?”

“what did you see me as?” sally asked though she knew she may regret it. espially if the answer was ‘nothing’ or worse, a ‘meastsuit’. “well it was more then enough.” she said rubbing her throat gently. she nodded her head. “pretty much thats the gist of it.” she still wanted to know what brought her back too. 

as easy as it would be to deal with the problem right here and now, there was something niggling at rubys mind, telling her there was a reason her old vessel was alive and kicking, and she should keep around for as long as it took find out what that reason was. “i never got your name, before i possessed you.”

“and dead is where you’re supposed to stay, i don’t like when the past revisits me.” ruby replied, reaching and grabbing the blonde woman by the throat, pushing her against the nearest wall. “so how the hell are you here? you’re not special, you’re not important. who brought you back?”

“i could say the same about you.” ruby responded, stepping forward to the all too familiar face. “you’re supposed to be dead.” she said with a small tilt of the head.

ruby was beginning to wonder when she would come across the people she’d heard were in town; meg, lilith, lucifer himself. she had been the one to set lucifer free in the first time, and she’d been killed before she could even reap the benefits. this time, though, she could enjoy it. for now, she was watching the town, learning the people stuck here too. figuring out who was worth befriending. “what are you looking at?” she asked, looking towards the person who had taken a particular interest in her.

*· ☆,.- “Guess so. Maybe.” Though, Colton had learned over the years to hide his vampire side from people. At least, most of the time. “I have been on a hunt. There was a group of vampires who’d terrorizd a small town. And I had been there to finally end it. Or, so I’d thought.”

“On a hunt?” She repeated. “As in for deer or... oh wow.” She breathed. “So you’re a hunter too...” She pressed her lips together. “how long ago was that? how old are you?”

cathleen watched the stranger disappear before she turned into the female’s direction. “ are you alright? did they hurt you? “ 

“he didn’t get the chance.” she said with a bit of pride to her tone. “though i don’t know what he wanted with me.”

“ not exactly, no. ” and he hated it, but he was glad that she was safe now.

“i’m sally.” she introduced. “not mine either.”

“Well, I was gonna offer up my assistance but you’ve got this more than covered. I’m impressed,” she paused then before promptly adding, “But I can still shoot ‘em if you want. Just point to where.”

“go for the dick.” She smirked, mostly joking. 

“Yeah, sure, okay. Then what were you trying to do?”

“nothing. i was literally just in deep thought and staring off into space.”

“ i suggest you listen to her. because i hate cursing people, but so help me god, i will curse you. “ 

“you heard her. leave.”
