Ace Attorney Trash Plus Other Stuff

Raven was a young halovian girl who resided on a rural planet where her and her parents were local farmers of a small town. A planet most often surrounded by peace of nature and rarely held any weight of conflicts upon it. A girl that was quite introverted, but very bubbly and bright if you got to know her. Spending most of her time running through fields where she got to experience what she liked to call her ‘freedom’ (read here for more of her freedom symbolisms), or helping her parents with the farm animals and crops ; stealing the berries from the vast fields that covered majority of the planet they lived on. Buildings were pretty sparse, just the housing of residents and small towns scattered throughout, it was mostly covered by greenery. Despite the lack of industrialisation, it thrived perfectly as they needed it to. 

Around her mid teens is when Raven lost her parents due to sickness, her first strike of loss. This is important as it builds up to her present day character that struggles to accept new people due to the repetitiveness of her losses throughout her life, making embracing new relationships harder as she has to once more relearn having company beside her. From then it was just her and the animals, and the rest of the planet’s residents. The bubbly girl the elders knew from her younger years started to disappear, and her introverted-ness became more like isolation. It was only after a few months when she tried to rebuild bonds with other people and built up a strong relationship with other townfolk, resulting her in finally feeling like she had a community around her once more.

The second strike of loss came in her early adult years, years after her parents, yet still very young. The destruction of her planet, and therefore loss of the community she had managed to build around her after her first loss.

It was a painfully slow destruction at first, people she’s never seen slowly taking over—if she could even call them people in the first place. She was only a girl who’s lived all her life on a world of peace, she’s never encountered anything outside from the cosmos or knew any of the stories of the universe around her. Never had to experience conflicts or wars.

The destruction of her planet was caused by a group of believers from the many amber eras ago event of the mechanical emperors war, who still believed in the machine empire created by Rubert I. Now I’m hoping I write this somewhat correctly when I try explain it, the wiki pages are linked—many amber eras ago there was an empire established as the machine empire by Rubert I during the first mechanical emperors war. The idea was basically to combat organic life forms, as they were believed to be flawed and that they were insignificant to that of intellitrons, therefore wanting to have inorganic lifeforms rule over the universe, purging organic life, which ties into the whole idea of the terminator vibe I had going on. However despite Rubert being killed which made the empire fall down, some intellitrons from the empire era still live to this day, which links to the idea that it could be life forms that still hold strong beliefs of Rubert's plan and empire to have gone and destroyed Raven's planet.

Terminator movie relations :

This enables me to link to the terminator movies that Raven’s planet destruction was primarily based on. The terminator is a movie franchise where in the future (the first film is based in the 1980's), in the 1997, judgement day occurred and machines took rule over planet earth. U see clips of this from 2029 los angeles where it’s all dark and gloomy, broken down buildings and futuristic machines hunting down whatever organic life is left living. In the first movie, Reese (a man from the future) is trying to warn and save Sarah Connor, the mother of John Connor who is the leader of the human life left in the future, from the t-800, which is one of the killing machine models that also time travelled to kill her so that inorganic lifeforms can take over without interference in this timeline. I’ll just make a short run down of the third movie specifically which I feel links the most heavily into the mechanical emperors war. The third movie is where, in the same timeline, machines actually start to gain consciousness. Sarah Connor by this point had died but John Connor is alive and is trying to prevent judgement day from occurring. The machines believe they have more worth that the human race and are trying to destroy it, and an artificial intelligence named Skynet that was made by the machines and had gained super intelligence was being attempted to be deactivated by the human race, however that failed and prompted for judgement day to occur. Everything that Sarah and John were trying to prevent was never actually preventable, simply able to be pushed back a few years instead of occurring on the date it should’ve, and resulted in the world to be actively destroyed by the machines the moment Skynet took over rule. Basically almost like Skynet is Rubert and the machines are the empire as the mechanical emperors war was also smth that happened to destroy/take over a large part of the universe at the time of its existence. This is a very poor explanation of the movie due to me last watching it 3 years ago despite being my fav..so some details might be missing, but it's just a rough summary.

Raven stayed on her planet for a large portion of the initial destruction. Once again, she was simply a halovian farmer who had little knowledge of the universe beyond the planet she lived on. Her chances of escape were slim. I haven’t thought out exactly how she had escaped, but I’d imagine if overtime it played out like the terminator—where weapons, machines and vehicles started to become more heavily developed to fight against the destruction—she’d somehow end up with a spaceship she’d probably steal on a whim and escape, or if any outside help was involved, she’d escape through that. 

By this point she would’ve lost her wings, her body would’ve been scarred and she would’ve left with more questions than answers of what happened. Unaware of the what the reason for her planets destruction was, why her planet, who those people were and who was behind it. As she had been unaware of anything of the war from many amber eras ago. The loss of her wings would’ve occurred during the time she stayed on the planet that was practically inhabitable by the time she left. In my head I always think of the laser weapons see in the terminator’s future briefly, which if Raven was hit by one of those in her wings, would cause them to burn to a crisp. By the time she left she still would’ve had what was left of her wings—weak bones and some feathers that somehow managed to hang on after all this time. It was only after she left and headed off on her goals would she have actually found some doctor that pulled out was what left and left the two sensitive scars upon her back. A mark that from this point on the freedom she once had of the fields was no longer, her freedom, while freely being able to explore the cosmos, was tainted by the need she felt to answer the questions of her past before she could truly embrace the future before her. A false freedom, you could say.

The wings stayed even when broken by the point she left the planet—symbolising how she was free from the destruction—the removal of them marked how she was free from of the horrors but locked back by the questions.

I don’t have an exact story for how the next part would happen, I don’t know if I ever will properly delve into it, but, her story links best to that of the trailblaze. Due to how present it is, doesn’t involve and characters I particularly favourite and is literally the main group of the whole story, making Raven apart of the current express made her, to me, feel very out of place. Instead I decided to make her apart of the former express, as it gave her more depth, gave her a faction that linked to the trailblaze, but didn’t force me to rewrite present day Raven lore to work with the current express, which felt too limiting. 

Raven ended up joining the former express, I’d imagine sometime closer to 2147 ae before it ended. Her main two reasons for joining would’ve been to relearn to have company around her once more—the same thing she had to do after her parents passing, now being the second time of loss—as well as in search for more information and knowledge of her planet but also the cosmos in general. Remember she lacked much information, so for her to even try set out on a journey to begin with would’ve been very messy.

She would’ve built a bond with the express crew, however overtime felt more closed off from the rest as she never got much closer to her goals. Despite exploring countless of worlds, it would’ve been hard for her to focus on personal goals instead of being swept into some problem with the planet they were on. It caused her to feel out of place and build a wall between her and the other members as she felt more lonely than apart of the group, outcasted due to her personal goal and how it couldn’t really be accompanied by another person. Therefore, deciding to leave to start her own journey of the trailblaze.

Now 10 amber eras varies from 760-2400 years, and I doubt Raven would actually stay awake for all of those years due to just how many there are and would mean for me that I’d have to think of more things for her past expeditions. I’m not sure what I’d make her do in a chunk of those years so it’s not forever the repetitiveness of searching information on planets, I keep just thinking of Faye Valentine and how she was put into cryo sleep. Sighhh I dunno, ideas for that would be helpful though.

That would then bring us to present day Raven, the one you see in fics and I’ve spoken on in part 2. Her lore with Boothill stays the exact same as I still think it fits, her lore with Ashveil is being developed, and nothing has really changed with her present day self except now having more experiences. Still searching from planet to planet to find the answers to her past so she can finally step out of the unknown and into the known of the preset/future that she’s still not truly living in despite being present in it.

The only gap I really have to solve now is the amber era stuff, how she would survive for so long as a halovian, and what she would do within that gap—sleep? Try settle down for a while but never succeed? I have no other ideas…so if anyone wants to help me with that feel free LOL, it’d be helpful for extra info in fics which I often weave in.

Cyclamen was tired. Exhausted, to say the least. Her feet dragged on the ground, her black cloak fell onto the dirt path, and her eyelids threatened to shut. Her amaranthine eyes spied a wooden bench, which was the first one she saw in the busy streets of the Xianzhou Loufu.

She sprinted over immediately, plopping down on the rough surface. Her legs started falling asleep, and she felt her other limbs numbing as well. She might have fallen asleep, if she hadn't heard such a loud commotion just a few blocks away from her and the bench she was sitting on.

She reluctantly pulled herself up off the bench, only to be met with hoards of people running in the opposite direction, screaming and sprinting for their lives.

The first thought in her head was; I should follow them, right? I mean, I don't know what's happening, but it sounds bad….

Then she sighed. The fuschia blooms on her body pleaded to see the commotion, to fight and feel blood once again. She huffed, then complied. She walked steadily against the crowd of people, foxians, vidyahara, and other long life species, along with a few traveling humans.

After walking for a short while, she saw what was the commotion. A board of the Antimatter Legion, almost thirty of them, wreaking havoc and destroying the buildings around them. In the midst of the attack, six people were fighting, clearly outnumbered. She knew she should probably help, but she observed the people in combat first.

There was a girl with grey hair, yellow eyes, swinging what looked like a… baseball bat? Interesting. The second girl had light pink hair, a camera strapped on her waist, and was shooting arrows of ice at the enemy. There was an older elegant lady whose hair and clothes were adorned in gold flowers, swinging a briefcase filled with blades and saws. A young ravenette, fighting with a spear, and an albino foxian girl, using dual swords.

The figure that caught her attention the most, was one of a halovian man. He had blue-gray hair, and a golden halo shimmered behind his head. He was focused on supporting the people fighting with him, using a dark blue tome with golden patterns.

Watching him was enchanting. His every movement, elegant and graceful. She stood there in a hypnotized trance for a moment, before shaking herself awake.

The fighters started wearing themselves out, their attacks stopped hitting as hard, and the hoard of monsters was only growing. She had to step in.

Did she?

It didn't matter now.

She sprinted towards the fight, willing the vines on her back to grow in size, and the snake-like tendrils complied. As she ran, vines wrapped, stabbed, and tore apart the legion, and their numbers steadily depleted, from thirty, all the way to one. One vine on her back stabbed straight through a void ranger’s head, while two others held down its legs. It was a gruesome scene, despite the fact that the Antimatter Legion did not bleed. Turning back, she said “Are all of you alright?” Then she saw their faces. She instantly felt sick.

Fear. Shock. Disgust. She had seen those faces so many times before. She was dizzy, nauseous now. She stumbled back, and was about to run away when someone’s hand brushed her own.

“Th-That was amazing!! How did you do it?” Exclaimed the albino foxian girl.

“Huh?!” she said, surprised by the reaction.

Getting a better look at her, Cyclamen realized something interesting about the girl. She had three tails. In all her travels, she had never seen any foxian with three tails.

“It really was. Thank you very much for saving us.” Said the halovian man. He dipped his head in gratitude.The other nodded and smiled, it felt nice. Warm. A feeling she hadn't felt in a very long time.

“What's your name? If you don't mind me asking, of course. I'm Sunday,” he pointed to the foxian, “that's Xiulan,” to the gray haired girl, “Stelle,” to a girl with pink hair,"March 7th," to the lady with red hair, “Miss Himeko,” and to the ravenette, “and Dan Heng.”

“...My name is Cyclamen.”
