         There was a very faint twitch across her features, because of temporary anger that boiled over – caused by the comment from Lightning, about seeing somebody else. Nadia’s certain what this looked like, so she understood it in a way. It just pissed her off that Lightning would quickly assume she’d move on. 

How the fuck could she move on?? She was in love with the woman. Her heart still isn’t over it. It was made evident by how quickly it beat when she had a glimpse of Lightning in that suit. It brought back memories, that were rather… nice. 

But at the same time, it made her heart ache again. After it had been numb for so long, it was awakened rudely. 

Her features remained neutral for as long she could keep her stony front up, even when she finally looked back up in the mirror to somewhat glare at Lightning via her own reflection. God, it was probably the hardest thing she’s done in a while, too – without crumbling apart, that is.

“Danke – and yeah, if I do get this job, hopefully my boss will treat me with respect or they will be doomed.”        She replied curtly, as she stood up from the chair and turned to face Lightning. Well, fuck. The closet was right next to her. She just needed to grab one of the few outfits she’d brought with her, when she moved in with a friend who lived in the apartment above the restaurant where she worked. 

Lightning probably must’ve heard Nadia’s name in passing down in the restaurant, and asked where she was. Hence why she was in here. 

Confident enough she wouldn’t break when she gets near Lightning, she excused herself as she brushed past Lightning and into the closet. Fuck! That scent. The familiar musk, and faint trace of cologne made her yearn for Lightning again, and that, too, ticked her off. She wasn’t going to let herself break down.

          Surprised? You could say that. But it’s not like she let it be blatant. The slight widening of her eyes was poorly covered up, by how her features solidified into a neutral expression once more. Blue eyes then flit away from the reflection in the mirror in front of her, and busied her hands with the finishing touches of simple make-up. She wasn’t the type that used too much of it, but when it came down to special occasions, or rather like this time – a job interview, it couldn’t hurt to pretty up a little more. 

“Claire. Long time, no see.” And that’s all she said, without looking back up at the reflection in the mirror of the strawberry blonde behind her. She just didn’t know what to say, she wasn’t expecting Lightning, to suddenly pop out of the blue like this.
