I swear to god, the team that we currently have for my DND group is broken. Yesterday, they had finished their rest and immediately were ambushed by a few lizard folk and 2 yuan ti malisons. 4 level 8 characters easily kill a few and some of them escape. Characters chase them into now yuan ti malisons and pure bloods. Some die and they run to this bridge to retreat. However, the bridge is slippery. The dwarf falls in and meets a brood of yuan ti hatchlings, an abomination, and more malisons.
SOMEHOW despite this chaos they kill everything and none of them even go unconscious. With no designated healer (Mystic is the only one that can heal but he’s more of a tank than a healer.)
Fast forward an hour and a half and one person had to leave so this is THREE people. 20 cultists (ranging from challenge 1-5) 2 half blue dragon gladiators and a fucking blue dragon descend on their asses at night. they kill everyone except the dragon who fled and none of them were knocked unconscious. Clearly I’m never letting a monk, a sorcerer, a mystic, and fighter ever be in the same group again.
