Welcome to the SolarBalls FanZine Tumblr blog! Here, the community creates fanmade magazines for fans of the show SolarBalls!

This blog is currently owned by @maddzgt. I am working on hopefully making this idea successful so we can make this a yearly or maybe even a seasonal event! :D

What in the stars is a fanzine? It's a magazine from fans for fans of a certain fandom. It can include fanarts, illustrations, fan stories, comics and so much more! This will be an online fanzine (a PDF accessible through a Google Drive link) consisting of various fanworks submitted through Google Forms.

Heya peeps! In order to not keep anyone in the dark for too long, I will try to share my current progress on the zine here.

Finished character sections for: Luna, Dark, Ganymede, Titan, Titania

Currently working on: Charon character section, finalising show arcs' reviews in the second section

The latest update pretty much sums up the current state of the zine's production. Progress is being made slowly but surely! ^^

I guess I can share a little sneak peek though, hehe. The finished zine will be announced on all my socials and will be publicly available to everyone, sooooo stay tuned :D

Hey there all!I apologise for the lack of updates recently, I was busy with quite a lot. This hindered my process a bit, but we're stay strong! ✌️🔥

The zine currently has around 32 pages and that's probably going to double if not triple (depending on the pages the fanfics will take, haha). I'm still finishing and polishing the information sections, but we're slowly getting to the fun stuff - your guys' amazing contributions!!! 🥺

School is unfortunately starting again and it won't be an easy period, but progress will continue to be made. Hope y'all also had a wonderful start of the year! ✨

I appreciate everyone's patience with this project. Unfortunately, I have overestimated my capabilities to finish this on my own quickly, maybe because I decided to do too much. This will be a lesson for me for the next fanzine, though. :)

As for this fanzine, no, I'm not giving up on it because there's so many wonderful submissions I have received that just have to be shown in the end. I will probably cut the last section a bit though simply because it's taking a great toll on me aside from a few concerns irl.. Either way, the first pages are already done and I'm slowly moving forward. I have closed the community form now - appreciate everyone's contributions! The other forms will remain open.

Hey all! I'm posting this update a little earlier this time around.I am now working on shaping out the pages and slowly placing artwork and the fanfictions I was submitted. But something that I completely forgot (how could I) was to include Charon! So I added a little sections to the Additional Form featuring this girl.

Please feel free to submit your headcanons, quotes, moments, ship, arts and whatnot on Charon here. You can also use this form to submit other arts. If you do that, please also fill out the last three questions so I can properly credit your arts. For fanfiction submissions, please still use the other form.

Progress is going slowly but steadily! I have started writing out a lot on the 'Who are the Moons?' section based on the community feedback form. I am still drafting everything before I design the clean pages, but you can see a little sneak peek below. 👀

Aside from this, I am still waiting on my access requests being accepted. Some of you did read back, but maybe my access request was lost in the horde of emails for some of you. ^^' On topic of arts, I did get fewer arts for Saturn's and Uranus' moons (other than Titan and Titania). Because of that, I'm planning on adding my own arts for them, but if you guys do want to help me give these guys a bit more love, please do feel free to submit more works (no matter if you already submitted or if the artwork is old)!

The "deadline" was at the start of December, but that was just a date for me to start reviewing the submissions. You can still submit your art no matter if you already submitted or have an old artwork of yours you'd like to submit! I noticed that a few moons of Saturn and Uranus didn't get as many arts/works compared to everyone else (that is definitely okay, though). ^^'

There is no deadline and the forms are not going to be closed. However, it is possible that once the fanzine will start taking shape at the end of this month it'll become harder to implement newer submissions. Nonetheless, I'm still going to try my best to include all. 🙏

Hey hey all!

My exam period is finally finished so I can fully focus on continuing my work on the fanzine! I wanted to share a few quick updates with you all.

I have started gathering all the community feedbacks on the Moon Revolution and other moon-centric arcs. I am adding a lot of other information I can find on this from the Wikia and my own research, so this will take a bit of time.

Regarding a few arts/works that have been submitted, I could not open all due to restricted access to some files. I will send out an editor access request in the following days, so please keep a lookout in case you forgot to give me access to your submitted work (or else I might not be able to include you in the fanzine)!

As mentioned, we were looking at the deadline being somewhere around the end of November. This doesn't mean you can't submit anything still, though! I will not be closing down the forms, but I will start formatting the zine starting December based on what submissions I already received.

You can still answer all three forms, no worries! You can submit old art and skip questions you can't / don't want to answer. This is not a competition, you don't have to make art specifically for the fanzine either (if you did though, I really appreciate it!). With that being said, for those who have already submitted their works, thank you a ton!!! You can very much submit more, but your contributions until now are very much appreciated! :D
