obsessed with kris using things the player can't see to communicate with other characters. drawing on the window in the diner. 80% as much honey on toast as usual. silly faces and nodding/shaking their head. changing the tone of what we make them say to make it clear that they mean it differently. i love that it's shown time and time again that kris ISN'T apathetic about anything. kris wants friends. kris has boundaries and wants mom to know that what she did made them feel bad. kris wants the people in their life to be happy and kris wants affection. i love kris deltarune

Being a trans man is being the butt of the joke and the punching bag of every demographic imaginable because they need something to take their own hurt out on, and then being told that you were never laughed at or (in the case of Hopeless Leftist on TikTok, quite literally) never punched at all
My identity feels like a joke at my own expense. I feel more supported and encouraged to continue to transition by the cis people in my life than I do from other trans people on the Internet. I only have two out trans people I consider close friends and some acquaintances I’d like to get to know more. I gotta touch some grass
listen. I don't hate the TMA/TME binary because I think trans women don't experience unique discrimination, I hate the TMA/TME binary because of the rhetoric that follows it. not only do people who use it feel that trans men don't have unique experiences, or that those experiences aren't real, or just don't want them to talk about it. it forces nonbinary people into a binary, which is something literally none of us want. and it refuses to acknowledge the fact that all trans people of all genders are affected by transmisogyny, and transandrophobia, and all types of transphobia.
"but if all trans people are affected by both transmisogyny and transandrophobia, what's even the point of creating these terms?"
like I said, trans women and trans men each have their own unique experiences, but that doesn't mean that these experiences can't overlap. hell, even cisgender people are affected by these things.
"but the difference is that when trans women face transmisogyny, they can't just say they aren't trans!"
1 they literally can it's always ok to lie to transphobic people for your safety
2 what do you think cis women do when they're facing transmisogyny or being transvestigated? pull their pants down to prove it? no they call the person a creep for giving a fuck about what their genitals look like, and many trans women do the same. this doesn't mean the transmisogyny didn't affect the cis woman, as it's fucking creepy to have someone asking what's in your pants!!!
I think the best way to put this is to bring up the curb-cut effect. curb-cuts were designed with wheelchair users in mind, but in accommodating wheelchair users, it benefits everybody else, too. it makes it easier to ride a bike or scooter, it makes crosswalks more accessible to the blind and people with other mobility issues. we can apply this theory to transmisogyny and transfeminism. while the intended targets of transmisogyny are in fact trans women, that doesn't mean transmisogyny ONLY affects trans women and transfems. and in dismantling transmisogyny, everyone will benefit. that is why I find the TMA/TME binary to be unproductive, because it further isolates trans women from community with other marginalized groups. ironically, I find the binary to be transmisogynistic in and of itself

Tumblr users when a black man uses dark skinned emojis:
Really it’s my fault for assuming that anyone would remember that trans men of color exists
internalised misogyny (arguably) is the act of perpetuating or upholding the misogynistic and patriarchal systems against women and those perceived as women by someone who has also experienced those systems of oppression and is projecting the harm they have experienced onto others instead of unpacking said harm.
internalised misogyny is not:
being a trans man
being non-binary
just not being a woman
being masculine
enjoying yaoi
engaging in yaoi
dating men
liking men
being in any way associated with men
If you believe in any of the above bullet points, you are either a TERF or you are dangerously close to falling for TERF rhetoric, and no amount of psuedo-progressive language about “centering men” is gonna cover up the fact that you agree with JK Rowling on at least a few points in her crusade against trans people. And that is NOT a good look.

like bell hooks basically sums up the issues i've noticed wrt feminism & the idea that "feminism has always said the patriarchy hurts men!" yet that idea not materializing into feminists investing in men's liberation:
It was difficult for women committed to feminist change to face the reality that the problem did not lie just with men. Facing that reality required more complex theorizing; it required acknowledging the role women play in maintaining and perpetuating patriarchy and sexism. As more women moved away from destructive relationships with men, it was easier to see the whole picture. It was easier to see that even if individual men divested themselves of patriarchal privilege, the system of patriarchy, sexism, and male domination would still remain intact, and women would still be exploited and oppressed. Despite this change in feminist agendas, visionary feminist thinkers who had never been antimale did not and do not receive mass media attention. As a consequence the popular notion that feminists hate men continues to prevail. The vast majority of feminist women I encounter do not hate men. They feel sorry for men because they see how patriarchy wounds them and yet men remain wedded to patriarchal culture. While visionary thinkers have called attention to the way patriarchy hurts men, there has never been an ongoing effort made to address male pain. To this day I hear individual feminist women express their concern for the plight of men within patriarchy, even as they share that they are unwilling to give their energy to help educate and change men. Feminist writer Minnie Bruce Pratt states the position clearly: “How are men going to change? The meeting between two people, where one opposes the other, is the point of change. But I don’t want the personal contact. I don’t want to do it…. When people talk about not giving men our energies, I agree with that…. They have to deliver themselves.” These attitudes, coupled with the negative attitudes of most men toward feminist thinking, meant that there was never a collective, affirming call for boys and men to join feminist movement so that they would be liberated from patriarchy. Reformist feminist women could not make this call because they were the group of women (mostly white women with class privilege) who had pushed the idea that all men were powerful in the first place. These were the women for whom feminist liberation was more about getting their piece of the power pie and less about freeing masses of women or less powerful men from sexist oppression. They were not mad at their powerful daddies and husbands who kept poor men exploited and oppressed; they were mad that they were not being giving equal access to power. Now that many of those women have gained power, and especially economic parity with the men of their class, they have pretty much lost interest in feminism. As interest in feminist thinking and practice has waned, there has been even less focus on the plight of men than in the heyday of feminist movement. This lack of interest does not change the fact that only a feminist vision that embraces feminist masculinity, that loves boys and men and demands on their behalf every right that we desire for girls and women, can renew men in our society. Feminist thinking teaches us all, males especially, how to love justice and freedom in ways that foster and affirm life. Clearly we need new strategies, new theories, guides that will show us how to create a world where feminist masculinity thrives.
^^ that last part is why anti-transmasculinity theory is so important. what is the goal but new strategies and theories that guide a new understanding of feminist masculinity (more of the quote under the cut, read the book here)
men's liberation requires women's liberation" is a true statement. and equally true is "women's liberation requires men's liberation." we either seek both or we will get neither

I might actually make a short comic explaining this and the caption in further detail because it’s kinda heartbreaking how they first met.

a lot of people treat bigotry like catholics treat the concept of sin. You have sinned, even if you haven't sinned you've inherited sin, and you must serve penance for it. Which will not resolve the fact that you have sinned, so you need to keep doing that forever. If you expect the self-flagellation to give you any absolution or do anything at all, you're selfish, it's just something that you intrinsically need to do. Though this guilt is infinite, it's still something that can be added onto, and they can scream accusations of it at you and expect your immediate submission in whatever matter is at hand, even if it's confronting their own bigotry. People can condemn but never absolve. if you don't hate trans men you're racist
I don't think tumblr users actually believe in the principle of "you should always trust minorities (individuals) as authorities on their oppression" because they'll sure as hell ignore me when I say what is and isn't transmisogyny
