“Don’t sweat yourself Alfred, I’m fine the way I am”, was all he could land on but he could feel Bruce’s gaze on him a little too longer than he would like. He just knows his words probably are not going to mean anything. Jason might be twelve but he isn’t stupid, he’s grown enough to understand when things are just not going to go his way so he decides he will work through it.

-Not to get it twisted, part of him is more than grateful. But the tug of his old life, the survival, the fight and flight seems all too much to unlearn in such a small amount of time. In all honesty he still does not believe any of this is happening for real. Like some part of him either knows deep down its a dream he conjured up or desperately wants it to be one. Nothing about the manor still quite feels like “home”, like it’s hiding just as much from him as he is from it.
