“My subjects are always people of color and black people in particular that can sometime appear to be androgynous. I think it’s really important for people of color of all shades of brown, all ethnicities, gender identities, and sexualities to be able to see themselves and people like them in art and media that celebrates their existence and dismisses all of the objectification and sexualization and everything else we face daily. We have had the honor of seeing multi-media artist Rahmeik Bowen grow in his craft. We first noticed Rahm when his photography began floating around our dashboards. He was featured in Apryl’s Favorite Photographer’s of Color. Rahm soon came to share his exquisite paintings on the web and has now become iconic. His skill and craft is unmatched and we were fortunate enough to interview him.
