lol the rpc never fails toĀ get carried away with their righteousness, year after year, on tumblr dot com ( twitter + discord too, whatever ). letās boil it down: the rp tags are full of a bunch of nerds ( no offense ) who like to write fictional stories. we weirdly use the likeness of real people for our characters by posting ourĀ words next to edited gifs and icons ofĀ their faces. letās be humble for a second: thatās fucking strange. weāre really not doing anything significant here. but some roleplayers wanna act like theyāre the shit while being a part of this weird little community. wake up - this is a hobby that should make people happy, and a place to offer an escape from the stressful reality that has not only been 2020, but maybe for some, their entire lives.
the ONLY part of this that isĀ worthwhile is the friendships that form, people feeling less alone, and being able to escape with a creative outlet that should help our mental health. so why the fuck are we so concerned with what other people are doing to the point of publicly shitting on them like weāre so much better? imagine deliberately making peopleās lives worse and being proud of it. imagine having a legacy of spreading even more negative energy and anxiety and fear during a fucking pandemic ( or ever ). why make call out posts for stupid shit ( and iām not talking about serious things like racism, homophobia, not tagging taboo topics etc. i get that some posts of that nature can protect others and are necessary . ) but imagine acting like you really did something for being so concerned with fucking roleplay to the point of posting anon hate, gossiping, and attacking peopleās character in the tags? like reflect on what youāre doing. your ego is out of control over RP, and thatās a joke.Ā Ā
iām not calling out anyone specifically because thatās fucking vile, but i encourage everyone to really think about what youāre putting out into the community, becauseĀ it will come back to you. you are manifesting some ugly shit. think about what youāre posting to a community of people who probably feel like outcasts, people who have mental or physical disabilities, people who want an outlet from their realities that you know nothing about. if someone does something that you donāt like, fucking block them and move on. focus on building others up. rp should not bother you so much that you have to bully people. if you feel you just canāt fucking help yourself, maybe talk to someone professional. calling people out and bullying online over roleplay is soĀ low. deliberately hurting other human beings in any capacity is vile, and youāre just adding to the ugly in this world. donāt ever be proud of that, and quit trying to justify it because you canāt.Ā
