Better Than Him

The murder of the two young police officers on 1 April 1934 precipitated the decision to capture the couple of gangsters, dead or alive. A group of five police officers in Texas and Louisiana Federated Frank Hamer is working to trace the couple. They are informed that Clyde is about to rob a bank near Arcadia in Louisiana and decided to ambush on the route to the city.

“Did I do something, Mister, er, Hinton, was it?”

     “Bonnie, what’s this INCIDENT? Did he HURT you?      If that boy’s using any sort of force on you, it doesn’t      matter what he promised, you’ve gotta get away from      him. Boys like Clyde Barrow will promise you anything.” 

not a misunderstood, falsely accused prisoner. a straight up criminal.

“She’s my best friend. Well, she WAS, I’d reckon, before BARROW came along and snatched her away and forced her into his life of crime.”

     “Bonnie, you can do better than him. You can      find a nice boy - one who’s not on our list of      aggressive inmates - and start a life with that      guy. This Barrow’s nothing but trouble.            And what kind of INCIDENT?”
