can we go FIVE. MINUTES.

I'm going to put a trigger warning here, because I'm going to have to talk about some pretty crappy topics: mainly fictional SA.

Anyway, we all know how he lied about creating the popular Jeff Woods image. But, the design for Jeff Hodek is also a rip off!

The design for Hodek is a rip off of a character from a Japanese film released in 2001: Ichi the killer. Which is its own issue, but I'll get to that.

This is one of the characters from Ichi, I cannot remember his name. As you can see, he's looks super similar to Hodek.

and here's Hodek himself. Obviously, there are some differences. The burns for Hodek and the hair is slightly different, but they're still practically the same.

And here, in his DeviantArt bio, he references Hodek being into Ichi, going as far as copying the characters Glasgow.

And honestly, here is where I have a big issue, and have for a long time.

Now, out of curiosity, I watched Ichi. And yes, it was super gorey, but that's honestly not the part that bugged me.

The part that bugs me is: a good chunk of the movie is women being graphically beaten & assaulted. Outright. Extended scenes of women being just tormented.

And the main character, Ichi, actively jerks off to women being SAed and hit, and even fantasizes about raping women, too. Pretty sure he does it at some point.

Now, you can defend the film any way you want to. I don’t care and will not agree. And I know, Hodek is NOT inspired by the main character, Ichi himself, but the connections have been established none the less.

And personally, I think if you proudly “create” (I use that term loosely) what is essentially a self-insert character and then make that character inspired by what is essentially a rape fantasy film, that’s incredibly weird.

Especially given Sesseur’s….history.

Definitely seeing a lot of red flags here, with this dude.

And this isn’t even touching the bigotry yet. (Racism, ableism).

All in all, I just wanted to point out the similarities between Hodek and this Ichi character (we can even see the similarities in the names ffs; ichi the killer & jeff the killer.) And point out how interesting it is he’s inspired by this film, given his comments in the past and his brother and the stuff happening there.

Ok, so this will probably be long, but here goes:

If you look at Sesseur’s deviantart, on the

on the intro page, you’ll see a “journal entry” from Hodek which says this;

which I’ll admit, this was written ages and ages ago. But it still just left a nasty feeling in my mouth.

But my biggest issue is this:

And here’s where my issue begins for real. Itchi the killer is a film based off a manga, and I haven’t read the manga, but I have seen the film.

The film disgusts me, personally.

It contains brutal SA scenes and the character Itchi himself fantasizes about raping girls, eventually doing so himself. Like the film even starts out with a man beating and raping a girl while Itchi watches and jerks it in the bushes.

So this film being used as inspo immediately put me off, because frankly I don’t like that kind of stuff in horror. I find it unnecessary and weird.

But then there’s Hodek’s design, which has changed from the design mentioned in the journal to this:

which is a blantent rip off off this character from Itchi:

Meaning Sesseur couldn’t even come up with his own fucking design. He had to steal it from that awful ass movie. Which is pretty on par with him, since dude didn’t really come up with the OG jeff face, either.

as for sesseur himself, the whole itchi thing gets so much creepier and weirder when you take in all his allegations with his brother and shit

I also don’t like the way a lot of his art looks like the terrible alt right wojack bullshit.

And i Especially hate how he named Hodek “Jeff” which is apparently HIS name, which wouldn’t creep me out so bad if it wasn’t for all the Itchi crap and predatory bs.

as some yall might know my jeff, harrison, is strongly based off of jeff hodek and could downright be considered a rewrite of him

due to the recent news im going to think over how i wanna move forward with harrison during the last 2 hours of my shift and then i'll make a post once im home talking about what i decide to do

it will be difficult since i had everything for his comic already set up n ready to go but yknow we slay

part of me wants to keep the story and ideas i originally had but another part of me sort of wants to erase hodeks inspiration from harrison since hodek is clearly a self insert or smth for sesseur and that just feels disrespectful to the victims of his brother

if any of you want to put in your 2 cents or general thoughts on all this lemme know
